New Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds trailer released

The new Shinobi game wasn’t the only thing that SEGA had to share in Sony’s PlayStation State of Play presentation that premiered today. Another game that had been heavily leaked in the past few days is Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, which has resulted in people expecting that the latest Sonic console game would be showing up in the presentation.

Sure enough, that is exactly what happened. SEGA has released a brand new trailer that provides a better look at the game. In fact, there’s a bunch of gameplay that is shown. The Extreme Gear from Sonic Riders has returned, as well as the vehicle transformations that were featured in Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing and Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. The release date is still listed as “coming soon”, but a closed network test will be happening February 21st. The trailer can be seen down below.

  1. I’m so excited for Jet and the extreme gear returning. I hope that the extreme gear is a vehicle option and not tied solely to Jet though

    1. People said the same about that crash racing game and here we are, I am not saying it’s not possible for a game to be better than Mario but you should keep your expectations in check…smh.

        1. I am not going to judge the new Mario kard based on few seconds of footage, time will tell and you have the right to choose which game you are going to support and that’s what matter.

          thanks for the friendly discussion.

        1. I mean yeah of course it was better but super star launching close to wonder and spider around that year was a huge factor had it launch a little bit before than it may have done slightly better

          1. Exactly because Super Mario Bros. Wonder did quite ok during its first week and Superstars did not honestly because of its new gameplay mechanics. If only SEGA would have manage to make the game a bit more stylish and cleaner for a Sonic game and not be releasing it in the same month as Wonder.
