Nintendo patent reveals former Splatoon directors at helm of Playtest game

Nintendo released a secretive playtest game last year to a select number of people who applied to playtest the unnamed title. As you would expect video footage leaked immediately of the game, which seemed to be a mix of Minecraft and Roblox. A newly published patent reveals a little more about the game and names Yusuke Amano, Tsubasa Sakaguchi, Masaki Wada and Shinya Yano as the game’s inventors. To those not in the know, Yusuke Amano, Tsubasa Sakaguchi, directed the first Splatoon video game for the ill-fated Wii U. Mr. Sakaguchi then went on to work on the creative Nintendo Labo project.
