It looks like GameStop and presumably other retailers in North America have increased the price of the charming amiibo figures ahead of the Nintendo Switch 2 launch on 5th June. The price of Amiibo went up $10 for the newly announced Zelda and Street fighter amiibo figures. The Street Fighter 6 amiibo are priced up at $40 and The Legend of Zelda amiibo are £30.

Even if I only got the four Zelda ones, that’s $120 plus tax if I want them all, and then Mineru’s Construct amiibo will probably be even more expensive.
I have the BotW Champions, plus TotK Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf. Getting these would complete this expanded TotK line, but at those prices…
$40 is literally the price of a 3ds game, what were they thinking.

let’s see if the people who have been crying because the price of mario kart world will do the same when Nintendo announces the new super smash bros. plus amiibos and DLC.
Amiibo’s was almost 20$ dollars at Target and at GameStop after it was released in stores but 40$ dollars for a single Amiibo figures? Wow.
Yikes. I guess I should just quickly finish the Smash Bros Amiibo line and then respectfully check out. I cant afford that. 😬

Don’t care about the price, just need the 5 new ones coming out..then collection (zelda) is complete..
