Sonic Racing CrossWorlds has now been rated in Australia

A release date for Sonic Racing CrossWorlds could be announced fairly soon as the game has now been rated for release in Australia. The game was given a PG rating, which stands for parental guidance, due to In-Game Purchases, Mild Gambling Themes, Online Interactivity and Chat. SEGA is likely to wait until after the dominant Mario Kart World has been released before fully kickstarting the game’s marketing campaign.

  1. Sonic still uses a car. He can run faster than sound but still uses a car. RIP Sega 1960 – 2004.

    1. What’s so bad about him using a car once an awhile? Racing games like this, the Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing, Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed, and Team Sonic Racing are pretty fun to many people. Especially when done right. There is no problem with it

  2. Rehire Shiro Maekawa for all story and lore in Sonic and fire Aaron Webber and Ian Flynn. Remake Adventure 1 and 2, make Adventure 3, let Platinum make a Shadow game and a Silver game, and finally bring Sonic Riders back! Fans been demanding for far too long! Let RGG Studio make a open world Sonic game and let CyberConnect2 make Sonic Battle 2.

  3. I’ve been a Sonic fan since childhood, but the latest racing games always seemed too chaotic to me, and now they’ve added elements of gambling, such as loot boxes and betting on races, which evokes mixed feelings: on the one hand, excitement and nostalgia, but on the other, I understand why parents would be wary. I recently decided to test something similar in practice by launching a small campaign with gambling traffic, and I realized how delicate the balance between audience engagement and quality needs to be — more details here . It shows a real case study of push notifications in Azerbaijan with a +46% ROI, where the focus on mobile traffic and high-quality whitelists yielded a profit without huge budgets. Now I think that for gaming projects like Sonic, you can also use a similar logic — target mobile players in regions with a high interest in fast entertainment and excitement, and then conversions to the game or purchases will go much faster.
