Nintendo has held true to their promise to stop Nintendo Switch 2 resellers in the Land of the Rising Sun as it has announced that it has partnered with prominent online marketplaces to stop the reselling of the Nintendo Switch 2. The Kyoto-based company stated that it has approached three major Japanese marketplaces in Japan and they are Mercari, Yahoo!, and Rakuten Rakuma. Nintendo will prohibit sales of the console for an indefinite amount of time and has asked marketplaces to proactively remove listings that are seen to violate this. Hopefully Nintendo will also do the same here in the west and crack down on resellers on eBay and Facebook marketplace.
Japan: Nintendo has partnered with online marketplaces to stop Switch 2 reselling

That’s a seriously tough one.
If you genuinely buy a switch 2 and then decide you don’t want it and it happens to be worth more than you paid for it, you should not be penalized for wanting to sell it for what it’s worth.
You buy something and you own it, simple as that. What Nintendo need to focus on is not selling to scalpers in the first place.
I see the logic where people just won’t have the ability to get a switch 2 on release and having to wait for stock instead of paying a higher price on somewhere like eBay which does in the long run mean Nintendo make more sales so they are doing it for themselves, not the customers.
JUST MAKE MORE, AND FAST!!
Whu?! You mean, people are ok with scalping?!
Only other scalpers.
Do scalpers have any ID they need zo show when shopping, so Nintendo knows they are scalpers and not selling them any Switch 2 consoles? 🤔
So first of all, a false statement: you do not own the console since you are subject to usage rules… just like games, you only pay for the license. Then, regarding resale, that is even more false, Nintendo only receives money once… if you buy the console for the first time, Nintendo gets your money, but if you resell it, Nintendo gets absolutely nothing.Scalpers take advantage of this to enrich themselves; under no circumstances does Nintendo receive anything from their sales even if they sell it for more. That is why manufacturers and publishers are against the second-hand market and scalpers.
GameCube is better so.
I love the GameCube, but no it’s not.
But it is, so.
The GameCube had an amazing library of games that you can’t still can’t get in many platforms legally. If Nintendo gave gamers an option to purchase past games digitally instead of a subscription service, I’d want the Switch 2 alot more.
