The Nintendo Today app has been an integral part of Nintendo’s marketing campaign for the Nintendo Switch 2 foregoing traditional social media and instead uploading new and engaging content direct to the iOS and Android app. You will have seen that people have been uploading the videos and screenshots onto various social media platforms and Nintendo doesn’t seem happy about this. Today, Nintendo has put through an update stopping this practise from happening. This was discovered by a Redditor who had previously been grabbing the videos and screenshots and preserving them for use outside the Nintendo Today app. This move seems to affect newer phones, while some older phones are still able to obtain the content posted in the Nintendo Today app.
Nintendo Today app no longer allows users to grab video and screenshots

Typical. RIP Nintendo.
Were “gamers” always so dumb?
How the hell so, Tommy?
Good, this is for paid users. What’s the point if it is just ripped for everyone.
What are you talking about? 🤨 The app is free and likewise it’s content.
Well that’s Nintendo for you. I figured they are not happy about this.
