UK-based gaming journalist Christopher Dring has taken to X to declare that three games he was told were certain to be shown in the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase were pulled at the last minute. Dring wouldn’t elaborate on what the games were, but presumably they were well-known games. It just goes to show that things can change at the very last minute when it comes to a Nintendo Direct presentation.
Chris Dring says he knows 3 games pulled from Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase

And what’s stopping you from saying what games they were?!
I hate these kinds of idiots who pretend to have information without revealing it.
What is your problem?
Was I not clear enough? To pretend, as he does, that several games haven’t been shown without saying which ones (why?) I find to be a deplorable attitude, making it seem like he just wants to attract attention…I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: nothing prevents a developer from disclosing a game, especially if it was ready for a direct…All of this makes me think of the so-called massive support from third-party publishers claimed by these so-called leakers, while we still haven’t seen anything, which means that for me, as things stand: all of this doesn’t exist and only serves the personal interests of these “leakers,” period.
You never believe leakers, even when they’re proven to be correct. I remember you dismissing Switch 2’s June launch. I remember you dismissing a Direct for July.
Because he likely got his information from a leaker, I mean a POS thief, and it wasn’t accurate so he had to save face. This is why no respectable journalist would EVER report on anything from a POS thief or rumors. It’s either stolen information (fact), or someone is spreading rumors for attention (fact).
Youre so completely right !!!
No journalist has ever told a story from a leak.
Good answer 😁👍
Although leaks are like cool early surprises for me, I can understand that developers may need more time to line things up better as part of a game’s release plan. All to make sure the most eyeballs see it. My assumption here is that they will be in the next bigger direct, and this guy could be respecting those devs’ plans.
Probably signed an NDA
he’s a well respected journalist and he doesn’t write stories about stuff like leaks. he writes about the business. he’s just saying that he had insider info from his sources so he could say this thing about how things change last minute because that’s what’s relevant to his coverage. sharing leaks is actually completely against his field of journalism. which makes what he’s saying more credible—sources have plenty of reason to give someone like him accurate info, knowing that he almost surely won’t tattle about it.
Let me guess, neither of them were Mega Man titles.
Would you like to have Sally Acorn in smash dude?
It won’t happen.
Either, at least, give a hint what those 3 games are, or stfu. 🙄
How is this article worthy “news”
Wow, a whole lot of nothing in these “news”. Can’t even hint at those three games, ffs.
Hades 2
Hades 2 doesn’t have anything new to show. It’ll be a timed exclusive on NS2 when it finishes early access (which apparently will take a while).
I suspect Elden Ring was one, and maybe a Sega game was another. The third one is iffier, but could be a Microsoft title.
tell me you don’t know who Christopher Dring is without telling me who Christopher Dring is, lmao. a bizdev journalist is not going to leak info (at least not publicly).
Then what’s the point of even talking about them in the first place? Desperation for news?
Because the Direct was underwhelming. Do you really need the obvious pointed out.
Probably those Final Fantasy 7 games.
