Nintendo has announced that Warpstar, which became a consolidated subsidiary of Nintendo in April, has now become Nintendo Stars with the rebranding being used to support the upcoming Nintendo movies Super Mario Bros 2 and The Legend of Zelda. Nintendo says that Nintendo Stars will achieve this by familiarising people around the world about Nintendo IP and provide new ways to experience it. Nintendo says that “Nintendo Stars Inc. aims to expand the number of people who have access to Nintendo IP through cooperation with partners around the world, and strengthen the relationship between Nintendo and its customers.”

Name rebranding makes sense. That being said, I’m cautiously optimistic about the Super Mario movie sequel and The Legend of Zelda movie.
Earthbound live tv series. Starfox animated movie series. hell, im sure that if they create a whole fire emblem Anime saga the amount of people watching that would be crazy. maybe the way of making old IPs popular again is showing some of the universe/story with tv series, anime, movies, etc etc.
