Square Enix announced on X that Nintendo Switch 2 owners will eventually be able to play all the Final Fantasy VII remake games including Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth and Final Fantasy VII Remake 3. The same news applies to Xbox Series X|S and PC owners as Square Enix rethinks its focus on exclusivity, which it is seemingly doing away with.

This franchises is the main reason why I stopped buying Nintendo consoles after the WII (Owning every console and handheld since the gameboy and 8 bit) and didnt do so till the Switch 2.
I remember buying games like Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (Wich didnt live up the main line games what so ever) , The Godfather Wii cause I wanted a GTA like game and the list goes on. I just got dissapointed time and time again all the top titles we had in the 90s and new triple A franchises moved on to other platforms and Crystal Chronicles was the final straw.
Glad to see the newest Street Fighter , Final Fantasy and other big titles on a Nintendo console again! Not sure how long this will last until Nintendo is getting skipped again but atleast its a improvement for the first time in over 20 years.
Nobody gives a crap what you think. U mad that the Final Fantasy franchise is no longer Sony exclusives. Your downplay is not going to give you status points.
Now that Square Enix confesses that Final Fantasy XVI aren’t selling great on PS5, they have their own freewill to bring the Final Fantasy VII Re-trilogy to Nintendo and Microsoft consoles including PC.
Not unexpected, but big news still. Unless it’s same day for part 3 as PS5, I’ll just get it on PS5 tho :D

The game might run ok on the Switch 2 since it’s not 60FPS.
Intergade has a 60fps mode, which is what this port is of. The 30fps feels fine tho. I played most of Rebirth like that for the better visuals.
Square realizing that staying on the sinking Playstation 5 ship isn’t doing them any favors. Better late than never, I guess.
If only Bandai was just as smart and stopped with the late ports. It’s funny that they think bringing Sparking Zero and, later on, Bleach Rebirth of Souls to the Switch/2 will revitalize the dead scene for these games.
Not really porting the games doesn’t save them most people don’t like those games they’re trying to save their sinking ship and Square and they’ll fail. Over at Bandai yeah they need to lose the licenses they canceled Naruto and One Piece games as well as a Nintendo project and can’t properly release DLC for Sparking Zero or Bleach not keeping interest at all and cheaping out on the games the games are missing a ton of content. The head of marketing at Bandai Namco even lied when Sparking Zero was about to come out telling people Tao and Chi Chi would be playable in the base game, they are not. That is a blatant lie and false advertisement it could result and should in a lawsuit against Bandai given Australia has gone after Sony and Bethesda for similar I believe. Then also no Jump Force follow up so yeah Bandai trash. Tekken 8 will hurt them more with it not emulating 7’s success and Tifa probably being a guest won’t help either.
Been known so. They may want to pick better wording given part 3 will have to be times exclusive still to PS5. But honestly this remake was bad and Square is just hard up for money after this game I don’t think they have any more money to fund AAA games so they’re trying to resell this thing over and over again and it’s not doing it. If they had made more Kingdom Hearts games instead of Final Fantasy it might not be this bad even worse Missing Link canceled and now I think everyone is wondering if 4 is canceled which I think it is. Pass on these games remember it’ll be what $70 or more for each game so like $210 for this trilogy or more.
