Capcom explains why they are releasing three Resident Evil games simultaneously

Nintendo Switch 2 owners who have yet to play Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil Requiem are in for a treat as all three games launch on the platform on the very same day. Resident Evil Requiem producer Masato Kumazawa has explained why they decided to do this and the reason is simple. The company wanted to give those who have missed out on the games a choice, they can either start with Resident Evil 7 and play them in release order or just jump straight to the promising Resident Evil Requiem.

    1. RE4 Remake would be so amazing to have on Switch 2. Playing The Mercenaries while on a long trip or something, just great.

  1. I mean, yeah. The game has already been out on other consoles and PC for awhile, so you want them out asap on the Switch 2 for people who haven’t played it so that they can. Or get it out there for the people that’ll double dip on the experience. Sometimes the longer you wait to make it available the quicker people move on from it and then it’s all for naught.

    1. Ah that’s about right, releasing 3 Resident Evil games on switch 2 to partially replace those awful cloud versions and people still complaining where are the other games and remakes? Is it not enough for some people? Resident evil fans have been eating well for the past few years, take a win for Christ’s sake because they don’t have to release anything, nor do you have to buy it.

  2. The real reason: we want money. Lol, since they got a team to port and optimize requiem for the switch they’re also making them do the same with prior titles, for a little extra investment they get several titles they can sell
