Pokemon Wind & Wave battle system will apparently be turn based

The next mainline Pokemon game which is seemingly named Pokemon Wind and Wave, according to leaked documentation, will feature a turn based battle system unlike the battle system for the newly released Pokemon Legends Z-A. Other details we know from the leak reveals that the feature to ride all Pokemon has been significantly scaled down and that the character stories have changed a lot since its inception.

  1. Oh man, with those name this better not be another too much water thing. I’m ok with the size of the ocean on the ORAS games, but hopefully there isn’t so much water to have to navigate through.

    1. If they make it good and interesting, I’m down for that, imagine navigating with your boat catching water pokèmons and finding mysterious islands with cool jungles and secret caves… but we are talking about game freak here so you should be worried about it.

      1. That’s what worries me. I have yet to play anything other than Legends Arceus where any water part is even remotely fun. I especially hated the underwater levels in Ruby&Sapphire. And if this is nothing like legends, then I’m worried for the wave integration part of this game.

  2. Wind and Wave seems like a great name for a new mainline Pokemon Game. Its truly sad that those screenshots got leaked online by the hackers who couldn’t help themselves. I’m truly down with a new gen 10 next year if its interesting. I hope Gamefreak bring back other trainers from past titles that appeared in the previous gens.

  3. I hope it is not a European based region. We have had two in a row. Would be a good change of pace. Hopefully Oceania, the America’s, or Asia.

    1. Psyduck literally exists.

I’d rather either a South America or a China-based region. It’s baffling we never had either with how many mons that reference both in the series.

  4. You say “unlike” as though that’s some sort of surprise? I sincerely hope there isn’t anyone who would think that they will ever change the way battles are played in the mainline games
