      1. RE5 is one of the best selling titles, no “controversy” will stop them. It’s just that RE5 is the culmination of a big arc so it doesn’t make sense for them to remake it now.

        1. Game sold well at launch because fans were excited after 4 but now its meh it was a mixed bag post release most disliked it and cite it as the game that hurt RE turning it into a generic action game. Remaking it makes no sense its a PS3 game and doesn’t need it. Resident Evil 1 needs the remake most. If they do remake 5 that will open the door to remake 6 another game that doesn’t need a remake then Capcom will get even greedier remaking remakes RE2, RE3, and RE4 even remaking 7 and 8. That sets them to go full Sony and it will tank. Only thing that is getting many to push for RE5 remake is the politics since some left wing people and journalists deem 5 a racist game so the other side revolt and is demanding a remake and praises the game despite it being mid only way the game would happen would be to cater to them and years from now like 2030 earliest. Then again Capcom ruined Dead Rising remake so who knows how they’d censor and alter RE5.

          1. Even then, RE6 still sold more than RE5 at the time so the “hurr RE turned into an action series” argument never made sense in the first place. Plus RE always had action elements from the very first title, so it’s just hypocrisy striking again.

RE5 WILL get a remake. That much is obvious. It is the most successful PS360 era RE game and, again, the culmination of a big story that started with RE1 (first game by release order) and RE0 (first game chronologically speaking). Will it alter something? Yes, every remake alters something: RE2, RE3, RE4 did so. Will it “censor” something? Who knows, plus they changing things doesn’t equal “censorship” in the strictest sense. But, as I said, it makes zero sense to remake it now since it’s the end of a story while the beginning still needs to be remade. Then again all of this is just speculation and I don’t trust “insiders” that much anyway – they still insist on a PS4 version of Requiem that was supposed to be announced alongside the Switch 2 one and, lo and beho, nothing came out of it. Or when insiders insisted that FFIX remake was real but, over time, with nothing to show for it, they’re stating it’s “on pause”. Or when everyone was leaking the “Switch Pro” and, again, nothing.

    1. RE5 does not need a remake. They been said they’re not doing it. Next 3.RE remakes will be CV, 0, and finally 1. If they remake 5 Capcom will be entering TLOU Sony waters and we will end up getting RE6 remake another game thar doesn’t need a remake either.

      1. Technically no game ever needs a remake. But they do it anyway. And you have to be extremely naive to believe the most successful PS360 era RE game won’t have a remake.

        1. For right now it’s not and probably won’t Capcom has said so. 5 and 6 do not need remakes. 1 needs a remake and honestly Revelations 1 and 2. Dino Crisis also needs a remake way more than RE5.

        2. Old games need remakes your just a moron. Didnt you say they wouldn’t announce FF7 Rebirth for Switch 2 your not accurate just a arm chair analyst always wrong

    1. Switch 2 will be dated faster than Switch.. the hardware launched late, and Nintendo slightly skimped. However.. some games will look fine and run decently.

There’s going to be a bunch of games 30FPS only though.. it’s obviously going to happen with many third party titles.
