Capcom is apparently remaking Resident Evil Code Veronica & Resident Evil Zero

Capcom has been focussed on the popular Resident Evil franchise over the last few years and has delivered some excellent remakes of some of the older games in the survival and action-horror seres. Resident Evil leaker Dusk Golem claims that Capcom is currently working on remakes of Resident Evil Code Veronica and Resident Evil Zero which will be released after the next mainline game, Resident Evil Requiem, in February 2026. Dusk Golem says to expect Resident Evil Code Veronica and Resident Evil Zero in 2027 and 2028 though he states he is unsure “which is coming out first & which second”. As always we will have to wait and see what transpires.

  1. I sure hope this is real. Both are great games! Code Veronica really seems to be the mainline game that everyone forgets about. 0 would benefit so much from a modern remake as the controls were rough with the swapping between characters and inventory management. If they added co-op to 0 that would be so cool!

  2. Old news. Heard after these 2 then they remake 1 so that would be a PS6 title. Curious if they remake Revelaations 1 and 2 after. Fans still want Dino Crisis remade not sure how long that takes or if they will and also Haunting Ground remade would be something.

      1. News flash: Capcom pumping out expensive remakes endlessly instead of investing in new titles for their massive library of IPs, let alone new IPs.

        1. Exoprimal, Pragmata, Dragons Dogma 2, Kunitsu Gumi Path Of The Goddess outside Pragmata the rest are flops and Pragmata could be too. The fighting game collections also flop.

    1. Yeah if they added co-op too that would be crazy cool. Billy had potential to be a cool staple character, a shame he was forgotten so quickly. He’s super fun to play as in the Deck building Game though!

  3. I told you all they would at least try to tackle CVX. The reason that “certain types of people won’t appreciate the portrayal of the Ashford twins” is political BS — either which way one slices it, from anti-progressive unjustified rage-mongering to anti-conservative overreaction slander. It’s just a plot element, anyway.

As for Zero, that was probably the “Remake of 1” rumour they

All of this isn’t fact, btw. Never has been over the last five years of rumours.
