Movie leaker DanielRPK has revealed that management at Paramount are pushing for the fourth Sonic the Hedgehog movie to be named Sonic CD, after the video game which it capitalises on. This would mean that SEGA is following Nintendo’s route as the second Super Mario Bros. Movie is titled The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, rather than Super Mario Bros. Movie 2. Whether the renaming actually goes ahead remains to be seen.

How is this guy still being talked about? He’s been wrong on almost everything if not everything. Said Kingdom Hearts 4 would show at D23 last year, said Marvel game by Netherrealm was being made then Marvel vs DC, so many times he has been wrong.
It wouldn’t make sense, since they dispayed Amy as the “I can do it myself” girl in part 3. I mean, she destroyed all the Metal Sonics herself with not breaking a sweat, while Amy in CD was really the girly like girl, that chases Sonic. Honestly, they can’t do stories like that nowadays, because Hollywood and Co are hating on stories like “Girl likes Boy” and promote more “Girl is better than Boy”, which is possibly how the next movie will be. After all, Part 3 was a big hint towards it. It was completely different than the original source. And yes, I myself, will not watch the fourth part after this trash that was part 3, even though I have nothing against Keano Reeves. It was just a trash movie, no matter if it was made for kids or not. Quality and keeping close to the source is more important for such a movie.
Agreed honestly Sonic 3 was bad I liked Keanu as Shadow it was not him it was Jim Carey as Gerald he ruined the whole thing if it was a straight up adaption of Sonic Adventure 2 it would be better. Also to be fair if they wanted to adapt Sonic CD or use Metal it should have been used for 3 over SA2 or make Sonic Heroes Metal the big bad of movie 3. After Shadow the only logical step was Silver or even Chaos having Sonic CD be next was a horrible move and sadly the writers did confirm they were going to use Amy in movie 3 but decided it would be better for her to get more time in 4. Now rumor is because 3 didn’t do amazing that they will pack movie 4 with everything supposedly Shadow will be back just because and Silver either in the movie or just post credit scene. Imagine who will voice Amy my guess is Zendaya, Sarah Silverman, like the worst annoying female they can find. Hopefully it tanks. Because now we have to deal with Amy and even worse Jim Carey is coming back….. the movie is geared towards boomers the old Sonic fans bad move when movie 3 was for the younger fans.

Sonic really isn’t kids IP given its younger audience is approaching 18 but clear your some shill, bot or troll. Sonic like many other IP hasn’t transcended generations due to millennials gatekeeping and poor decisions made to cater to them.
Pass on Sonic 4. Amy is the biggest turn off and 3 was bad it had ok moments but was handled so bad way too many human characters and the general should have had moments with Shadow. Carrey never should have been Gerald it should have been Christopher Lloyd. Keanu as Shadow was great. Jim Carrey helped ruin the film and now Amy will make it worse and Carrey is coming back in 4 so more of that trash. Sonic 2 remains the best movie.
As far as keeping with the source material is concerned, I think Sonic 1 is definitely the worst of the bunch. Sonic 2 and 3 at least have tons of direct references. The first movie is just Alvin and the Chipmunks with Sonic in it.
i’d say no, just stick with 4
because there is no doubt sonic 4 will be infinitely more popular than my child CD, if they named it sonic cd, then gen alpha would make me wanna commit sewer slide, it gonna be like the fortnite kid in a way, which i don’t want honestly, sonic cd is already a bit complicated with the whole us soundtrash shenanigans and a lot of other stuff, this will only bring more fights leading us to a very bad future…
but that just me though.

I watch these movies with my brother and I don’t think he’s heard of Sonic CD.
I assumed it was some enhanced PC port with extra content when I read Metal Sonic’s Smash Bros trophy.
They could call it Sonic 4 CD or Sonic 4 Chaotic Dimensions (CD)
