Nintendo reveals more Switch games have been fixed on Nintendo Switch 2

Nintendo has been busy working with third party developers to ensure their games work properly on the Nintendo Switch 2. Today, the company has announced a new batch of Nintendo Switch games which should now be working correctly when played on the Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo has also highlighted a few Nintendo Switch games which it has found aren’t working correctly on Nintendo Switch 2 and they are Doom (2016), Doom + Doom 2, Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions and Oddworld: Soulstorm. Here’s the games which have now been fixed:

  • Abyss Memory Fallen Angel and the Path of Magic
  • A Clockwork Ley-Line: Kagerou ni Samayou Majo
  • Aokana: Four Rhythms Across the Blue (JP version)
  • Arcade Party
  • Assault Suit Leynos 2 Saturn Tribute
  • Batman: Arkham Knight
  • Genso Manege
  • Godlike Burger
  • Hitman 3 Cloud Version
  • KarmaZoo
  • Model Debut #Nicola
  • S.N.I.P.E.R.: Hunter Scope
  • They Bleed Pixels
  • Tokyo Xanadu eX+
  • Touhou Genso Wanderer Reloaded
  • Windjammers
  • Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition

  1. Always thought the compatibility from switch to switch 2 was gonna be seamless like Wii/GNC wiiU/Wii but I’m glad Nintendo is doing their best to make the switch 2 the best platform to play og switch games

    1. That was due to those systems already having the prev gen’s hardware built inside. Made them ran just as if they were on the original consoles.
      Switch 2 did a translation layer method that did things similar to the old Backward Compat method BUT means they need to do more tweaking; However it also means the games would run better on Switch 2 since they can now access the better hardware specs. So older games won’t perform the same like they did on S1 but actually run better. Whether it’s shorter load times, better fps or topping out the dynamic resolution.
