Popular PC gaming platform Steam has seen the beta client receive an update which sees support added for the excellent Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller and the GameCube controller. It should be noted that this is via USB rather than standard bluetooth, but that’s sure to eventually come. You can read the full patch notes for the Steam beta client here.
- Added support for Nintendo Switch 2 controllers connected over USB on Windows
- Added support for GameCube adapters in Wii-U mode with rumble on Windows

Massive W, i’m so hyped for the Steam Machine
Would you say that Valve is killing it?

Well you’re a bigot! Valve is a bigoted company how about you check yourself! Clearly you hate minorities and want to support the incels thats who play PC games.
Wait, so Steam is adding support for not just the Switch 2 GameCube controller, but also the Wii U adapter for GameCube controllers? If I’m reading that right, then that’s awesome!
Very cool indeed. I used my Switch Pro Controller on Deck when emulating Wind Waker HD recently 🤭
Hopefully I can use Xbox controllers on Steam Machine.
