More information has been revealed about the remake or remaster of the popular The Sims 4 with the base game being known internally as Project X and is planned for release in late 2026 on a number of platforms. The game is set to include Open Neighborhoods, larger crowd density and improved visual clarity over its predecessor and has yet to be officially announced by EA. The current The Sims 4 will eventually retire as the game engine is too old and too messy, so EA naturally wants to rebuild the base game along with the numerous downloadable content which is available. Project X It’s being treated as a separate game and aspects from The Sims 4 will be carried over. The alleged reason for this switch being made is the fact that quality assurance and development costs have “risen substantially in the last 24 months” for The Sims 4 as developers try to tackle and maintain the complex game code that’s over a decade old now.

EA make Def Jam bring it back already! Also remake Dead Space 2 and 3, 3 has built a following now and with Saudi cash I can see that happen unlike Dante’s Inferno that I assume is dead. Mercenaries also remake. UFC needs to return to Undisputed gameplay like back in the day and add PrideFC mode and for Fight Night bring that back with BKFC mode and TopDogFC mode. Bring back SSX EA!!
I honestly hope they don’t make like thousands of add ons for the Remake but knowing EA, they’ll be demanding millions more addons for useless stuff like Sabrina Carpenter Stuff pack or something stupid like that.
I still love the Sims, but Sims 4 was the biggest let down of the series, I’d rather they just start from scratch again and go back to Sims 2 style of gameplay but with the added features that 4 has like angled furniture and quality of life improvements.
Wouldn’t mind a Switch 2 port, because the mouse controls are made for this game
