Nintendo’s first published game for the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026 is the fiendishly addictive Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The game will receive a Nintendo Switch 2 version on 15th January, so naturally Japanese retail stores are capitalising on what’s sure to be a highly sought after product. You can check out the display box along with a small display marketing the game to Japanese consumers.

I think Stardew Valley is waaay better

I’m a little disappointed. New Horizons never looked appealing to me so I was eager to see what the next AC might look like on Switch 2. I feel like this is a pretty good indicator they don’t plan to make a new one for now
The Thing about New Horizons is that it isn’t a Animal Crossing game or a life sim. Its a decorating game. The Characters lost all personality and a extremely large amount of features were removed and still jot back. I want Characters to be legitimately mean, rude, angry, along with all the other emotions. They used to play games as well im the overworld and sometimes even set up little tables and stuff. And have more than a small set of phrases to say. Flowers not decaying should be a reward or special item you get for playing a certain amount of time if even in the game. You used to have to check in on your towns and manage certain things and each day actually felt different. New horizons feels lifeless and only for decorating.
Fully agree
Also, lacks content…
ACNH is a mixed bag, but good enough for me to overcome ACNL. Still, I hope to see a new game for Switch 2 with some meaner villagers like in earlier games. The constant sugar coating is getting on my nerves. Still, I like this one better because of the not dying flowers and grass (that was bullshit) since I had no time every day to come back since… job and earning money, you know. This is okay, but as I said, I miss the meaner people. I hope, however, that the new DLC is not killing the Happy Home Deaign with that new hotel. That would be awful.
