Nintendo seemingly offering refunds for poor Xenoblade Chronicles X Switch 2 upgrade

Nintendo has apparently started refunding those who have asked for their money back for the disappointing Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition Nintendo Switch 2 upgrade. There have been numerous videos on the subject on YouTube with many reporting that the game looks worse than it did without the upgrade with poor textures issues and upscaling techniques. It’s not clear which studio was behind the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, but if you are having problems with it then it could be worth your while contacting Nintendo Support.

  1. I went to YouTube and did not find one single video about this poor performance. Desperate for clicks today huh mynintendo news?

        1. Man you really love nintendo. You realize they could give a shit less about you. Also your telling people to prove it when someone already posted like 3 videos in this exact comment section.

    1. This is one reason why I refuse to buy a Switch 2 (there’s a pretty long list of others, but I won’t get into them here). Nintendo wants me to pay even more to “upgrade” the games I already paid for. I have nearly every mainline Nintendo Switch title, along with the respective DLC, and they want more money for what modders do for free on PC. The Switch 2 is one of the most anti-consumer products I’ve ever seen, and it blows my mind that the drones empty their wallets for it. Ever since its release, though, I’ve seen nothing but video after video on what a disappointment it is, including from big names like Caddicarus. Well, they’re not getting blood from this turnip, and this is coming from a lifelong Nintendo fan who has been playing their games since 1993.

  2. The game is generally better, running at 60fps is such a huge upgrade, and sharper image. I’m sure they will fix the texture issues in time but it does feel a poor effort for something they are charging for

  3. Hopefully they fix this upgrade so that it doesn’t have any of these issues. I have a friend who hasn’t bought a Switch 2 yet BECAUSE he’s been waiting for this game to get upgraded. He won’t be happy to hear about these user reports.
