Nintendo of America has announced that fans have a chance to play Yoshi and the Mysterious Book ahead of the game’s release at select Best Buy, GameStop, Target and Walmart stores. The company often offers demo kiosks at popular locations in the United States to advertise their games and let fans have a play around with Nintendo Switch 2 titles which are soon-to-be-released.
US: Try out Yoshi and the Mysterious Book at select retailer kiosks

I want to go try this out at my target, but I am afraid other adults will walk past me and think I am a freak for playing a Yoshi that is meant for little kids. I wish this retail demos could be downloaded on all consoles, not just demo kiosks.
What? No offense man, but that’s a weak mindset. You shouldn’t worry about what other “adults” think about you (nor should you put that much stock into the thoughts of others in general). If someone is going to judge your entire character just for playing a “kids game”, then they are the ones lacking in maturity. Minecraft, the highest selling video game, is a “kids game”, and it’s widely loved by all audiences. So who cares if someone gives you flack for enjoying whatever you enjoy?
Huh? Hey man, you shouldn’t put that kinda weight on your shoulders. People don’t really notice or care as much as you’d think. And if they do— isn’t it kinda weird to be judging someone or rude just because they’re playing a game at a demo kiosk? Like if the roles were reversed, even if it was some hobby you didn’t get at all, you probably wouldn’t look down on someone for something like that, y’know?
I don’t think the opinions of people who’d belittle or make fun of and joke about others for something they like and that makes them happy matter much at all. Past any comments they might make, in the end you and what you love + the people you share that passion with still remains. I check out demo kiosks whenever I’m out too! Sure I get a bit shy if somebody walks by, but at the end of the day it’s just a passing moment, good or bad. The sun will still set and rise, and you’ll have had an experience checking something cool out! There’s not really any malice or bad behind that, right? So then, there’s nothing to really feel bad about or embarrassed about. Don’t sweat it too much, it’s just a random nice thing you’re enjoying, and most of everyone is probably just gonna walk by and be thinking of their own lives, or at worst, ‘huh, I didn’t know there was a new Yoshi game… I liked him in the movie lol’ before going about their days! Who knows, maybe somebody might see the game or you having a nice time and find it endearing, as just a fast passing moment? :)
I do agree though!! It is kinda odd they have these demos at like Target and Best Buy and stuff but not the eshop. Especially after the games come out, like Pokopia and Mario Tennis Fever
Thanks guys, I won’t worry about people judging me anymore.
What I’m not ashamed of my grandparents self own Yoshi. And not afraid to let people know it. I play what I want in front of whom ever. Own your Life and Truth!
I wouldn’t be caught dead NOT playing a Yoshi game…except maybe this one. Wooly world was the last Yoshi that looked like it put up a platforming challenge, and indeed I bought it on Wii U and later 3DS. I need to finish my 3DS now that I’m on the topic
MORE IN STORE DEMOS!!!! :D
Great to see Nintendo offering in-store demos for Yoshi and the Mysterious Book at major US retailers! A smart way to build hype for this cozy, creative Switch 2 platformer before launch. Perfect for fans to get a hands-on feel for its charming art style and puzzle-focused gameplay.
Ill have to check my target hopefully it is mine is up the street
Im not interested in this game cause I know the difficulty would make the experience very boring, which is fine im not the target audience but I do wish these games had a toggle to make the experience harder cause it looks really good.
