A few Xbox users got a nice surprise this weekend when they were able to play the eagerly-anticipated LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight ahead of the game’s 22nd May release date. The game is available for pre-load on Xbox, but generally when you start a game up you receive a message that you can’t play it until release. However a few people who had pre-loaded the game were told the game was ready to play and play they did. One of the fortunate few posted several images to Reddit of him playing the game’s opening level. The issue has now been fixed and the game won’t be playable until the release date. The Nintendo Switch 2 version LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is coming at a later date.

Pass on this. It’s movie Batman. DC is just so poorly handled and has been for over a decade. I do wish we got better content.
How is it this hard to make games? Other DC characters exist but somehow in the past 10 years they said let’s ruin DC universally. Like why can’t we get Nightwing, a proper open world Batman with gadgets and vehicles, Jonah Hex, Wally West Flash, Green Arrow, Aquaman, Batman Beyond, Robin, Captain Marvel, Green Arrow even Superman games it’s not hard! Batman has his amazing 90’s-2000’s run or take inspiration from the 2005 cartoon, Nightwing and Robin by Chuck Dixon, Wally West’s 90s-2000’s run, Peter David Aquaman, Ordway’s Captain Marvel, Geoff Johns/Peter J. Tomasi Green Lantern, Kyle Higgins Batman Beyond 2.0, Kevin Smith Green Arrow, John Byrne Superman/Dan Jurgens Superman/Joe Kelly Superman/Peter J. Tomasi Superman. I mean it’s all there even Legion Of Superheroes could be great a create a character game.
