SEGA reported its financial results recently and while free-to-play and Games as a Service titles are being cut along with the shelving of the Super Game, Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radio’s futures are thankfully secure. The company published revised sales figures for its biggest franchises such as the Persona and Sonic the Hedgehog series of video games. Here’s SEGA’s major series sales numbers for the last quarter (Jan – Mar 2026)
- Sonic: 990k
- Like A Dragon (+Judgment): 1.38M
- Persona: 880k
- Total War series: 630k

Well congratulations to you too.
Persona sold less than Sonic? Thats a shock. But Like A Dragon at 1 makes sense even though the seeies was ruined with retcons in the PS4 generation now another incoming with the new game. Didn’t they take a loss finanically and cancel the super game? They said they moving to F2P. I assume the revivals get cancelled soon enough Virtua Fighter, Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, Golden Axe, and Streets Of Rage.
They had one job… and failed.
I feel that Persona should be trampling Sonic. Then again, they have been slow to keep brand new Persona games coming out. Persona 5 came out 10 years ago and they have worked backwards with Persona 3 Reload and then Persona 5 Tactica was a change. Now, they are working on a Persona 4 remake or reload of sorts. Sonic pumps out different versions way more often.
Very well presented. Every quote was awesome and thanks for sharing the content. Keep sharing and keep motivating others.
