Respected porting studio Virtuos has said in a new interview that they are very keen to port Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 to the Nintendo Switch 2. The article says Nintendo Switch, but I presume they would be taking about the Nintendo Switch 2, which would be a much easier job for the team to accomplish. Neither game has been officially announced for the Nintendo Switch 2.
Fong reveals that the Virtuos “team is eager to adapt Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 for the Nintendo Switch. We’re personally big fans and believe these games can shine again on the Switch, delighting even more players.” I’d like a 60fps console patch for RDR2 before that happens. I’ll keep dreaming.
They’re actually eager to port it to the Wii U. Any day now.
I’d rather have GTA 5 than 6. It is long overdue on Switch. I still think Nintendo’s mistake was letting it pass Wii U
This series has been milked enough, and this game launched on consoles that couldn’t handle the game, 360 and PS3. Now they’re doing the same with GTA 6 on PS5, just leave it until PS6.. PS5 CPU is not good enough to handle that good FPS.
GTA 5 launching now on Switch 2 would just be a big joke and laugh in the face of Nintendo tbh but then again Nintendo are masters of milking themselves.
