Nintendo has seen a surge of demand for the Nintendo Switch 2 in The Land of the Rising Sun ahead of the previously announced price increase. One of the requirements at the My Nintendo Store when the console sees increased demand is that purchasers had to have at least 50 hours of playtime on their Nintendo Account for the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo has announced that it has scrapped that requirement in Japan. Now they are just limiting the console to one per-person.

Who cares it’s too late now most people that want a switch 2 already have one and those that realize it’s still underpowered and overpriced got better handhelds.
It’s literally the strongest handheld, it has better specs than everything else like the steam deck

Well it is true. I don’t think it’s as powerful as the 1000$ Xbox handheld, but that would make sense since it’s half the price of that. I believe digital foundry made a video on the switch 2 and they compared it to the steam deck and saw better results to that consoles. The steam deck is still powerful, but not as powerful as the switch 2. An easy example to show the switch 2 is more powerful is by looking at the max frame rate of both handhelds. The steam deck can output a max of 90 fps on the oled model with 60 on the original. The switch 2 can natively output at 120 fps. The switch 2 is not the most powerful handheld, but given the lower price compared to pc handhelds, I think it’s pretty powerful.
