Nintendo shows off Star Fox mouse mode gameplay on Nintendo Switch 2

Nintendo’s recently unveiled reimagining of Star Fox 64, simply titled Star Fox, is looking extremely good. Today, the company briefly showcased some gameplay using the optional mouse mode. You can hold the Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con in the mouse position to activate the new Mouse Targeting mode for intuitive aiming. You can see the feature in action in the X post down below.

  1. This is such a perfect use for the mouse controls. I hope they make a new mario maker game that uses the mouse controls.

  2. I forgot about that mouse function. I had a Switch 2 for 7 months and never used it. I will try it but where do you use it on your lap? That’s why i never used it.

    1. It works fine on your leg, believe it or not. I play cyberpunk that way.

Nice to see a comment from you that isn’t just complaining about game releases taking too long, for once. Keep it up!

  3. I kinda wish you could mouse aim on 3rd-person. Also, I wish moving the mouse wouldn’t also move the ship. I guess I kinda want what Zero did, but only on one screen and with mouse aiming instead of gyro.

    1. I am curious if you could play co-op mode by yourself and control the shooting using mouse mode and the flying using the other joy con with some minor button remapping
