Mike Fischer, who was the former SEGA of America Vice President, has said in a recent interview that he has heard that the company is currently in the process of remaking the iconic Sonic CD for modern platforms. Perhaps we might see that announced during the upcoming video game showcases or Summer Game Fest.
I’ve heard that they’re remaking Sonic CD, which would be wonderful. That was my favorite Sonic game.

I would love for it to have Sonic Generations graphis but with Sonic Mania Quality, not Superstars. I really wanted all the Classic Sonic Games to be remade in the Mania engine and bundled together. I don’t think Sonic CD should be stand alone anymore or any of the other Genesis era games.Tho I have no faith in current Sonic Team and haven’t since 2012. Though Shadow in Generations was almost perfect.
I can see this remake happening, since Sonic movie 4 is based on Sonic CD. I believe shadow generations released either before or around Sonic movie 3 and even had a tie in DLC based on the movie
This is such a weird game since it’s either someones favorite or least favorite classic sonic game. I actually prefer this to the original sonic the hedgehog, but not 2 or 3. The japanese soundtrack is so good!
Bad idea. Knowing SEGA, it probably won’t have Dubious Depths or Final Fever, meaning no one will ever get to add those stages, because this version will be treated as the definitive one.
They’ll also try to retcon Amy from ever being a sweet 8-year old girl and just treat her as another 90s girlboss.
They need to put bonus Blaze unlockable sexy mini game 🤤
Only this can be unlocked when the main game is beat by not having any rings on all bosses.
I love Sonic CD but don’t think it’s big enough for a full remake unless they really go out snd expand everything but like others, I have super low faith in Sonic Team.

The Special stages without being able to restart and retry them are hell.
It’s a fine game to remake but Superstars wasn’t as good as it should have been. If you’re struggling with direction for new games it doesn’t inspire confidence for the past games either
I should have downloaded the soundtrack from kingdom hearts insider mp3s when I had the chance. I won’t make the same mistake with mario kart 7, one piece pirate warriors 2, crash nitro kart, street fighter 2 and hyrule warriors.

We can’t get Sonic Adventure 1, 2, or Heroes remade with the 4Kids cast but this is getting remade. When it flops I hope they know why and I do think given the budget Sonic 4 flops too. We can’t get a new Sonic Riders or remake of those or a CyberConnect2 remake of Sonic Battle. I hope the new Sonic writer fixes the damage of the past almost 20 years.

Sonic Battle with Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm visuals and gameplay would go hard same with the rest. I want Adventure 3 adapting the Metarex saga too finally and Platinum to make a Shadow 2 and Silver game. The current leadership has been stuck in their ways for too long after Crossworlds a string of L’s might cause change. Aaron Webber who had say in Sonic is in charge of all brands now so if all their stuff flops then he’ll be gone same with his people and change will come.
Is Aaron Webber his source? Webber is in a higher role to influence these decisions. This was him I think he has said CD was his favorite so expect this and woke trash from Sega with him higher up in charge. They made a social media manager a brand manager of Sega. Their 2027 lineup looks like stinkers all L’s 💩
But we can’t get Adventure 1 and 2 remade? I swear Takashi Iizuka and Aaron Webber ruining the Sonic brand with Ian Flynn. Same way we can’t get Sonic Riders back but Crossworlds the flop gets to exist
