A leaker who has a proven track record when it comes to SEGA leaks has said that the rumoured Ace Attorney game announcement is for a brand new entry in the series and is not a remaster or a remake. With Summer Game Fest just round the corner it seems the perfect place for Capcom to make a special announcement. Fans have been hoping for a new game in the series for quite some time, so a trailer for a new entry would go down a storm.

They’ve remade everything there is to remake now (save PLvAA which obviously will have licensing challenges), so it does feel like now is the time to finally release AA7! I hope we step away from Phoenix’s story because he really has nowhere else to go.
To be honest none of them have a true story to continue. In Phoenix’s case, they tried making a game in which he wasn’t the focus (despite his story being the focus) but it didn’t go well so I don’t see him going away soon.
The idea of having Phoenix in trials held by the mafia would be interesting, however.
I think it’s a good time to shake up the formula. Five cases feel too restrictive, especially with multiple playable characters. A game where you could play as multiple defense attorneys/prosecutors case-by-case would be a very good idea.
Capcom has been a real hot streak recently jeez wow. I love it

I wouldn’t mind if the story focus entirely on Athena Cykes this time. Unlike Phoenix and Apollo she is still pretty much a greenhorn and has room to grow.
It’s going to be a Game-Key Card. It obviously doesn’t matter to many but the Switch 2 is hurting me really bad. I’m not purchasing any Key Cards and it’s starting to effect me bad because Gaming has been my main hobby for most of my life. I bought this expensive Console that takes Physical Cartridges 95% of the retail games are not Physical Cartridges. It’s mentally and emotionally starting to tear me down really bad because recently there have been so many Switch 2 games that I want so bad and have the money to buy but they aren’t actual physical copies. I got diagnosed with Clinical Depression, PTSD, and Anxiety years ago and Gaming Helped keep me together. I have other hobbies but a movies and show aren’t as long as Video games and I’ve watched them all, I Bike and Swim but that is only an hour or so and gets boring, gaming has variety and lasts a lot longer. I used play multiple musical instruments but that was more of a time killer than fun, same thing with art. Video games were my way to unwind and relax and let go. I’ve literally have been losing my mind the past week over all of these Key Cards. Key Cards aren’t for the benefit of the consumer, it’s out of corporate greed, these companies have lost all sense of soul, its all fake and artificial more than ever and they are getting away with scams that would have never passed in the past.
I am sorry that you have depression, if you are not going to buy game key cards, may I recommend downloading cheap indie games on the eshop? Go try celeste, it’s on sale for 5$ and it helped me in a hard time in my life.

Then get it on another platform. If it’s a GKC, it wouldn’t have a full physical release on Switch 2 even if they didn’t exist. Thinking otherwise is delusional.
If it is a key card, as much as I like the franchise, I won’t be picking it up. Imagine Bragging and cheering about things getting worse and acting like a @sshole to everyone that speaks against it. That’s funny, because Ace Attorney 5 & 6 were digital only outside of Japan, so I would’ve thought you’d have given up on the franchise over a decade ago if you feel this strongly about physical games?

-It’s not the first commentary they do, and they do it in every single article about a new game coming to Switch 2. At this point it’s just trying to get attention.
-As stated, Ace Attorney was digital only since the 5th game on 3DS worldwide. So, if you feel that strongly towards GKCs, you should’ve given up the franchise years ago.
-Empty boxarts are a thing since way before GKCs. Youngblood had only a download code. Spyro had only the first game in disc. Physical is a dying market and everyone knows it.
Now if only Capcom would do the same for Mega Man Legends, Viewtiful Joe, Gotcha Force, and Under The Skin.
