People have been yearning for a new Spyro the Dragon game for years and thankfully a new one was unveiled yesterday during the Xbox Game Showcase. In a new interview Toys for Bob studio head Paul Yan says he hopes Spyro: A Realm Beyond is the first of many new Spyro the Dragon games. Talking about the game, Yan says that they are going to take some risks with the 3d platformer and that they hope that the changes resonate with the fanbase and newcomers alike.
“Our goal is that we want Spyro to live on for a long time. We want not just one new game, but many new games. We hope that this is the first of many. So we’re going to have to take some risks. We’re going to have to move into new territory, and our goal is to make sure that that evolution is always speaking to something that is authentic and reverential to building on the foundation of what is truly Spyro, and then we’ll take some leaps.” This will be “uncomfortable,” he adds, “but we wanna go there.”

If they don’t pull the same bullshit they did with Crash: It’s About Time, it’ll be possible.
What bs was that I thought the game was pretty good

Game was trash no wonder it flopped why you think we have no new Crash? That was pre Microsoft. They ruined Crash now will ruin Spyro more this dump of a studio should have been closed best thing they made was supporting COD.
-Too difficult for completionists due to very bad game designs (lack of run ability, Triple Spin bruising people’s fingers, very padded content that forced you to play the same layout at least five times, bloated amount of collectibles, etc).
-A Crash game where Crash himself is barely important at all due to TFB wanting to make the cast “equal to Crash”.
Yeah no TFB is a dump so no thank you. Rumor is another Crash is in development I say bring back Bob Rafei to make it. The cancelled Big Red Button Crash N Burn was a better game just use the Vicarious Visions model and it would have been perfect. The TFB models all look ugly Spyro and Crash they don’t get how to do textures outside vinyl figure. Tonya was ruined.

Crash Bandicoot 4 was amazing and sold better than even many first party Nintendo games. They are probably mad because they changed the color of Crash’s and Coco’s fur, or they never liked Crash to begin with. The original Trilogy and It’s About Time are pretty tough in difficulty. .
It didn’t lol, it was a flop for a long time, only selling marginally better when it was ported for other platforms.
But it is MNN, so there will always be a troll that can type whatever due to the horrible WordPress format instead of getting the Disqus format that would solve the troll problems in this site.
No thank you their games all look trash like Crash 4 now this. Bring back Vicarious Visions have them make it also remake Spyro again and THPS 3+4. Bob Rafei should be brought in to oversee Spyro and Crash.

Fuck off.
It’s cool to hear about this modern dedication to franchising Spyro and making many games again. I only really had the first Spyro as a kid, and that seemed like enough at that time as I was more into RPGs on psx. But i probably feel the same way about Spyro as others do about Mario 64 or some other 3D exploration experience that was all new. I still like playing Spyro 1 for the nostalgia but I think new games could capture my interest in the same way as new Nintendo games if they’re really well considered in design
You can tell this comment section is mostly the same person. It’s that guy that steals names sometimes and always comments with a different account each time they reply to somebody. They probably do it to cope with being worthless, a loser, and not liked by anyone. Instead of trying to improve themselves and make friends, they spam and troll here for at least over a year now for what? Three people to see him?

I have a tattoo of Spyro and Cynder from The Legend of Spyro series. Love the Franchise but won’t buy if it’s GKC. I was willing to make the rare exception on Switch but now that 95% of Switch 2 games are GKC, I won’t support any of them.m unless they release real physical copies. Smaller companies and studios have been releasing full physical copies no problem, and not charging $70 and $80 for them as well. The large companies are manipulating the consumers and market to squeeze out more profit at the cost of making the world and market worse for all of us.
I am pretty sure the physical release of the spyro trilogy on switch only included the first game, and you had to download the rest. So I would almost bet it’s a game key card if activision can’t even put games on the cartridge for the original switch.
Spyro Reignited Trilogy only had the first game in disc for every platform.
