We previously reported that Nintendo HR data was compromised in a hack and now the ransomware group behind it wants Nintendo to cough up $2 million to stop the information gathered being released. Nintendo of America has told Kotaku that it is aware of an “issue involving TinyPulse” and that no personal customer or financial data has been accessed, which will be a relief to the company.
“We are aware of an issue involving TinyPulse, a third-party service used for internal employee surveys at Nintendo of America. Nintendo’s systems have not been compromised, and no personal customer or financial data has been accessed. The data involved is limited to internal survey content comprising a small subset of our employees, and most of the information dates back several years.”
Thanks to SonicGalaxy27 for sending in the news tip!

TinyPulse getting sued for this time uh oh lol
Ransomware sucks.. the best way to avoid it is to keep at least one copy of your files in offline storage. Disconnected from the computer at all times when it’s not needed.
Nintendo: “We’ll give you two dollars.”
Who are these clowns thinking they’ll get $2 million 😂 idiots, be lucky if Nintendo gave them a happy meal with a mario toy in it.
Scum
Screw Hackers!! They attacked canvas last month and now Nintendo? Has the world gone mad?
