The acclaimed Tetsuya Nomura has said that the Kingdom Hearts franchise “has become my life’s work” and that he can’t just leave it out. He said that since its inception on the PlayStation 2 he never believed that it would become “such a long journey.” He says there’s still plenty of life left in the series and that the team are “trying something new” in the long-awaited fourth instalment.

At the beginning of the project, I made numerous trips to Disney headquarters for meetings, and many of the things we discussed back then have come to fruition over time. It truly has become a land of dreams and magic.

Sonic is the same the same people who hated Shadow, Riders 2006, Unleashed, Heroes, and all the classics drove the franchise to Boom, Colors, Generations, Frontiers, etc they ruined Sonic. TMNT as well I saw them bash 2003 yet that’s the comic accurate series made by the co-creator then they praised the 2012 series because it’s goofy like the 1987 butchering and uses the awful Yoshi is Splinter origin also reused the 2003 characters and plots butchering them like Hun especially. Kingdom Hearts is a Gen Z franchise and needs to stay such it’s 1 of the only things we still have the other stuff millennials ruin.
It’s the same as Sonic the people who don’t like or play it want to dictate the series, other franchises too and even anime as well. Boomer Gen X and millennials ruin everything and wad to stick their noses in everything. Kingdom Hearts opening movies never looked cartoony as they say and now the games can finally look like that the story was always dark not some goof fest at most Sora was a shonen protag. Rechain, 2, 358, and BBS, those games were more serious and way more anime vibe I don’t get how someone can play or watch BBS opening and say it’s cartoony or Verum Rex. The whole game better look like what we have seen and future games better look like Verum Rex’s cutscenes. Nomura listened to loser fangirls and we got a mess with 3 modern Disney worlds, Sora being stupid, the awful redesigns, for no reason Roxas, Xion, and Namine are alive despite being a empty vessel and nobodies yet the other nobodies were merged back with their actual selves and the memories remained that’s what Roxas and Sora should have been same way Axel/Lea was and all the others. Having the memory if Xion not be forgotten would have been better and the friendship transfering to Lea and Sora. I hope Elrena, Lea, Laurium, and Isa go to Quadratum team up with Sora to finish their stories and same with the BBS trio given Ventus’s ties to this as well and his missing memories. Zack too.
KH moving forward needs to look better not goofier as some want it to be. I don’t get that aspect and some saying stupid things like “if Sora looks like this then Donald and Goofy will look like real animals” it’s crazy they will still look the same but fur and feather textures will be more defined like in the Pirates world. These people either don’t play KH or only played 1 then claim to be fans when called out. That said I kind of feel the time for Disney worlds is done if they use more characters only Mickey related ones I think make sense so Oswald could work and I really want Max Goof to show up as a Keyblade wielder also Goofy’s love interest Sylvia. Only non Mickey character I’d welcome is Horned King as the big bad of Disney villains. Forgot Maleficent and Pete are still in story with the Box and she killed a ton of students back in the day.
1000% also NO Skrillex he ruined the song in KH3 not that it would have been better. How they allowed to ruin 2 Utada songs is beyond me. Shocked we see no hype for her recording a new song given the game is rumored for 2027. Wonder if someone new takes over? LiSA, Eir Aoi, Claris?
I’m glad it’s his lifelong work because I know the series has some potential left for its amazing adventures with characters. I mean I’m not a fan of the series but I’m glad the franchise and the developers making themselves more useful by creating something new.

Everything involving Organization XIII constitutes the weakest part of the Kingdom Hearts franchise. If you take them out, the whole story doesn’t suffer; if anything, it improves, not just in terms of coherence but also tone. Yes, their origins are plausible (originally students of Ansem), and yes, even the “real” Organization XIII’s origins are also plausible, albeit significantly stupider, but then you have their muddied goals and unnecessarily obtuse ambitions and delusions of false victimhood.

Honestly, before the final showdown with Organization XIII, everything else in KH3 was really good, minus the occasional encounter with Organization XIII.

The main evil was not them they were pawns by Xehanort who was in turn a pawn by the Master which is where the story leads back to. Also we don’t know all the origins of the Organization Demyx is still a mystery they were supposed to be lost souls misled and Roxas was not a student of Ansem neither was Luxu. When they return to themselves they are found again but you losers just want to dictate everything. The Organization were not the main bad guys of 3 that was Xehanort. The story is with the Master’s overall plan and mystery of it the same way the allure of the Organization was the mystery and egde of it. I swear you people don’t get aura.
I love Nomura’s passion for the series: he may not be the most consistent, but when he shows off He makes it clear he cares.
Hopefully he already has 5 and Verum Rex in development and will end it soon! Also need mobile game remakes before KH4.
Hopefully he has remakes of Union X, Dark Road, and a console version of Missing Link on the way before 4. 3 suffered for numerous reasons but the missing story context made it worse and 4 needs the context even more given characters exclusive to those games are in it.
Please Nomura NO Star Wars or Marvel in Kingdom Hearts! NO Pixar or modern Disney. Give us Atlantis finally, Treasure Planet, a proper Tron 3 with Beck, and since Disney owns it now Titan AE.

Elementals is even forgotten by Disney. I didn’t know Tron when I was a kid and it was in Kingdom Hearts 2 also most Disney movies actually all in Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 came out before I was born! The Kingdom Hearts audience is not kids it’s teens at youngest and 20 year olds it’s still younger than Final Fantasy. But kids are not into gaming or modern Disney or hollywood his defense and shillery is beyond stupid! Hooefully he and HMK are ignored.
i know this is a little off side topic but i have to admit i was a little surprised to be informed of such. I didnt realize , truthfully honestly, that it was mostly a grown ass adult demographic that those movies were aimed towards. As a grown ass adult myself that doesnt have kids and who doesnt watch that stuff, i just assumed it was cause i didnt have kids… you know, who i thought was the target audience. guess you learn something everyday.
I think doing some Jetix cartoons as Kingdom Hearts worlds would be better than modern Disney movies. So some Disney XD like Tron Uprising, Motorcity, then Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce GO!, ATOM, maybe Jake Long, Randy Cunningham, in addition to Atlantis and Treasure Planet would be a big way to end.
