A leaker who leaked The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake and the upcoming double Nintendo Direct before NateTheHate has said that work is currently underway on a new Super Smash Bros game and Nintendogs game for the Nintendo Switch 2. The leaks from malo932 have all appeared in random YouTube comments and have recently been discovered. Perhaps we will hear more during the Nintendo Direct on Wednesday.

Smash Brothers I understand, I mean ever since the N64, we’ve had a Smash Game for every home console (And the one time we had a 3DS port, which I think was the gateway to the Switch Smash Bros).
The thing that interests me is Nintendogs getting a revival on the Switch 2, which is odd because we’ve hadn’t had a Nintendogs game since the 3DS and the idea of a version of the game on Switch 2 is interesting. I just hope they stick to the Pet Sim style of gameplay instead of shoving in some Open World element for no reason.
Both Nintendogs and a new Smash would definitely be something for the general Direct. We would be getting more Smash games than mainline 3D Mario games at this point, unless the Direct prioritizes 3D Mario, that is.
This obviously not happening because the Nintendo Directs are not”leaked” when it’s September and the most obvious happens. Nintendogs+Cats been Alex for every Year and with Wii Spots and Wii Fit having revival this obviously the next due. Should’ve said RingFit Adventure 2 and Super Mario Land Remakes.

As much as I like Smash Bros, what new gameplay experience could they possibly add to warrant another game?
Maybe a super mode system. Maybe a tag team system. Maybe we don’t need a new gameplay experience because smash has always had at least one new iteration each generation since N64 and there’s still plenty of fighters we need like Waluigi, another Starfox rep, and another Mega Man rep.

literally every other previous game in the series has more single player options than ultimate, except for smash 64, and it’s competitively probably the worst the series has ever been

Ultimate had the worst single player content and by a far margin (bar 64 as it was just the beginning). All the normies hype Ultimate for its PVP garbage, yet I don’t give a single crap about PVP/online/tournaments whatever and never did. All of the SP content Ultimate had was World of Light, and even that one was basically just a +20 hour Event Match on steroids that you play only once and never play it again, and even for the first (and only) playthrough it wasn’t even remotely fun to begin with; so repetitive, so uninteresting and so dumb that everything about it just feels so pointless.
All I want from a new Smash game is another Adventure Mode that lives up to the standards set by Subspace or at the very least a short and sweet Adventure Mode like Melee’s that I still replay every once in a while, though I’m almost 100% sure the former will never happen as Subspace was literally a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Other than that, I don’t care about Smash anymore.

Smash bros has been in development for some time. Sakuri agreed to it if he could make Kirby air riders 2. But a new Nintendogs would be interesting. I’d honestly love to see lots of DS/3Ds/wii/wiiU games start coming up on switch/2. They have a lot of IP that has been kind of abandon on the systems.
Smash would be in a weird spot…… what could they do differently that smash ultimate (thats already on the system) couldnt? If they shred the roster and have less playable characters and stages i think it’ll be in the same situation mario kart world vs mario kart 8 is in…. where more prefer the older game.
