Nintendo has removed and replaced Zelda Ocarina of Time remake description

Zelda Ocarina of Time remake official logo

Nintendo previously had some new information about the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake that was accessible to read via a quick Google search. The description read “The N64 classic reborn as a full remake for Nintendo Switch 2. Experience Ocarina of Time with stunning visuals, updated designs, and timeless gameplay.” This has now been taken down and replaced with the more generic “The Nintendo 64 classic returns for a new generation in 2026, reborn exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2!”

      1. I’m so sick of these comments like, “This is a soulless, inferior version of the Ocarina of Time”, like, dude, we don’t even know what this remake is going to look like, and you’re already writing it off as if Nintendo had completely ruined it.

        1. You guys are coping REALLY hard right now even when people are holding their breath 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’m still picking this up since i already beated og OoT several times, so im qualified to invest into it.

        2. My suspicion is that they took it down because people were reading into “updated designs” and interpreting it to mean that they have overhauled the entire game a la FFVII Remake.

I’m starting to wonder if this is just like Star Fox with it being the same game, with an updated graphics engine. I am hoping for something more.

  1. Man.. you just know this will be a 1:1 remake with barely anything new.

I’d be surprised if there’s more effort put into this than the Star Fox remake. So I’m just expecting similar to that:

bare minimum, probably made the game easier at the same time, Nintendo’s speciality.

    1. Uhh, Zelda remakes usually go above and beyond with new content and gameplay changes, so I don’t think it will be 1:1. Nintendo wouldn’t pull a Sony and remake the last of us with less content at 70$.

      1. I see you’re not interested on them bringing over the HD ports of the GCN Zeldas
That’s fine, Twilight Princess deserved the high profile remake anyways

    2. As if Ocarina of Time was even remotely difficult to begin with. People only found it hard as kids BECAUSE they were kids. It’ll feel easier now because you’re 40 and played Elden Ring 3 years ago. Obviously.
