We have got a bumper Nintendo Direct presentation happening tomorrow and there’s bound to be plenty of surprises. One game which could feature during the event is a Nintendo Switch 2 version of the excellent Monster Hunter Rise. A listing for the game has appeared on Google ahead of the Direct though the release date is listed as 17th September which is the same day as Fire Emblem: Fortunes Weave. When Monster Hunter Rise eventually launched on the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 it received a nice resolution and framerate bump which is bound to happen here if it’s legitimate. We will see if it’s actually happening tomorrow.

I get it. It runs smoother and you have the mobility with wirebugs. You also have a lot of cool monsters like Espinas. I also miss the guard-points of Charge Blade from that game as well.

MH games never click with me…except for the demo of MH 4 Ultimate. I just looooved playing it over and over with the insect glaive. I regret never buying it. I wish they would remaster it.
I can’t believe a Monster Hunter Rise listing just popped up! I remember grinding for hours on the first game with friends. It’d be wild to revisit those epic hunts on Switch 2. Can’t wait! 1v1
Really hope it’s not a re-release without a Switch 2 Edition upgrade pack… – “for Nintendo Switch 2” is not very convincing. But since they are all-in on the game-key card wagon, probably they will ditch the upgrade pack just to avoid releasing it in a proper card… If they would at least provide a free upgrade for owners of the Switch 1 game, with transferable save… would still be hard on my Switch 2 storage, but better than what Square does…
