If success was judged by the size of the queues at this week's E3 games expo, then Nintendo would win hands down.
This is the caption used by the BBC, one of the worlds most respected news sources, with it's roundup of this weeks E3 event.
The title of the article is: Nintendo steals the show at E3, which is a sentiment currently shared by many other news sources
As revealed earlier on this week, Nintendo fan's had by far the most impressive wait out of any of the three next generation consoles on display at this years E3 event .
This E3 showed that Nintendo could do no wrong with its unusual titled Wii console.
The intrest in the machine is certainly there, as shown by eager gamers sprinting towards the direction of the Nintendo booth, once the event started.
Hands on reports of the machine have been fantastic, each clearly emphasising that the machine is a joy to play, and that once you use its unique control scheme, you may never want to go back to your standard analogue control pad ever again.
The games themselves are indeed shaping up to be something special. It appears that the Wii offers something for everyone, and as we know catering to as many different audiences can only be a good thing for Nintendo, as the failure of the Xbox 360 in Japan has shown us.
If Nintendo can create a low price point for the system as is currently rumoured, and aim it's advertisements to a broader audience, then I cant see a reason why the Wii cant be the second gaming console in consumers households as Nintendo believes it will be.
I definatly hope so. It’ll teach sony to try and take advantage of us nintenfans
