Hideo Kojima has posted some high quality images of the limited edition Metal Gear Solid Snake Skin Nintendo 3DS console. The Metal Gear Solid hardware bundle will be available exclusively through Konami style and is priced at ¥22,980. Konami has yet to reveal whether or not the Metal Gear hardware bundle will be coming to the West.

LOL! PETA will start saying that this supports skinning snakes and using the skin as 3DS covers. Then the public will say that they’re overreacting, then PETA will say they’re “just kidding.” IMO though, I think it’s nice-looking if the scales are inside the glass-like stuff, that is.

There sure are a lot of custom-skinned 3DS’ coming out in contrast with certain games now, aren’t there? Legend of Zelda, Metal Gear Solid, Kingdom Hearts, and wasn’t there also either a Tekken or Street Fighter one, too? 5 colors and a handful of custom skins all in just the 3DS’ first year! Looks like the 3DS may just be the game boy color of the DS series. But me? I’m just fine with my Cosmo Black 3DS at the moment. However, if and when the Smash Bros 3DS skinned system (hopefully black with the Smash Bros emblem on the front) comes out with the next Super Smash Bros, I’m definently getting a system transfer for that one.

Oh, I noticed I left out the Monster Hunter Tri G 3DS. There’s that one, too.
I’m still hoping that the Gold, Purple, and Orange 3DS’ shown off at E3 2010 will be put on the market at some point, but not all the colors shown off for the Wii were ever put on the market, so we can only hope…
