The Frag Dolls have managed to get their hands on multiple Wii U units in the run up to PAX Prime. The Frag Dolls are apparently the front line for Ubisoft trade and fan events, so it’s been assumed that these units are being prepared in preparation for the event. Nintendo has already confirmed that games such as New Super Mario Bros U and Paper Mario Sticker Star will playable on the show floor.

Nope, I’d rather get a colored system. I’m tired of systems that are just black or just white. Ever since the Gamecube, every gaming system I’ve owned has been black or white, either by coincidence or being the only colors available, and it’s really getting boring for me.

well, actually no. it’s barely as powerfull as the 360’s cpu. BUT the more important gpu is leagues ahead of the ones found in the 360 and ps3, so it will be noticeably more powerful.
The cpu is still very important, mainly being responsible for rendering and loading along with handling all the technical commands and code.
rendering falls more onto the gpu nowadays. the cpu is mostly used for physics, anti-aliasing, and vsync.
The cpu works the gpu, the cpu is very important of how much the gpu actually uses.

Well, I don’t know about anyone else, but I would love a sequel to Majoras Mask, Mario 64, Super Smash Bros, and a new Mario Kart to be released on N64 cartridges… but maybe thats just me :P

yes it is. the cpu isnt as important as you may think. and we dont know how clocked/capable it is yet. if its 3.0ghz . thats perfect. the wiiu has a DSP at 0.21ghz to back up the gpu . which the 360 and ps3 . and every other component in the wiiu is ‘next gen’ , although a gaming pc would like a word with me for saying ‘next gen’ .

i think sony know they calnt afford to put out anything that can compare to pc.
the ps4 and 720 will probably be twice as powerfull as the wiiu . but the difference between the way cross platform games will be tiny. and will always look a LOT better on gaming pc’s .
consoles are for budgeted core gamers/coillectors/fanboys. gaming pc’s are for adults with a good job who want their graphics to be the best of the best of the best.
but the wiiu’s selling point is NOT its graphics (even though they will be awesome) it is its gamepad and exclusives. and new online features and downloadable indie games and that sort of thing.
the wiiu will be a huge success i can see it now.
its going to be worth owning even to people who like ps and xbox. because nintendo has blatently gone back to its hardcore roots with the 3ds and wiiu .

put it this way. the wiiu maxed out will look A LOT better than current gen. but because the architecture in the wiiu is different its going to be hard to port over to the wiiu . that is all. the wiiu is definately NEXT GEN. it has better graphics its small and tidy , the gamepad is awesome and is a new take on gaming hardware.

nintendo is hardcore in many ways. the wii had a lot of shovelware . but it also had some really EPIC games that should not of been missed.
if someone missed out the wii last gen and only played 360 or ps3 , they are not a hardcore gamer.
they missed games like skyward sword , xenoblade chronicles , metroid prime trilogy and smash bros. which are as hardcore as any games on the market.
so if you consider yourself a hardcore gamer , you should own all the consoles.
