Former Sonic Team leader Yuji Naka has expressed his interest in developing something for Nintendo’s forthcoming console, Wii U. Naka admits that he’s been creating a number of video game concepts for the system and hopes he can put them to good use someday.
“Whenever there is new hardware, I feel like creating something for it. Following the announcement of the Wii U, I’ve been writing a bunch of game concepts. I’m hoping to be able to create a game for Wii U. Any new piece of hardware always looks fun. Kinect looks interesting, as well.”

Generations is the first Sonic game I’ve enjoyed in a looong time. Never played colours.

Remember,Iizuka had nothing to do with 06. Just as long as he doesn’t take the so-called “photo-realistic” route, which he has made clear he doesn’t see Sonic in that style, things should be fine.

Agreed. Generations was pretty cool, it got very close to the same experience felt from original sonic games (my opinion) thanks to Classic Sonic.

I wish they would make a game that doesn’t revolve around Sonic all of the time. And I hope they don’t create any more characters they will eventually forget about. I would love to have a game based on the Archie Comics so ALL of the past characters of the older Sonic games, new ones, and ones only seen in the comics and TV show so EVERYONE has a role. Bean would definently be a fan favorite.
