The Pokemon Company has announced that as part of the beloved series 30th anniversary they will be creating a gold Gholdengo and Pikachu. The 6cm solid gold Gholdengo is priced at just under $10k. Pikachu is also getting the same treatment and the statue will be 50cm, though this one won’t be on sale. The gold statues will be viewable on the eighth floor of Yokohama Takashimaya, Japan, from 30th September to 5th October.

What a waste of gold.
Everything is a waste of gold really. It serves almost no purpose besides “looking pretty”, it’s a very weak metal actually. So this is no more a waste than a ring or necklace.
yeah, when you think of how weak it is, its like… what else were you gonna do with it. Kinda starts to sound like a great use of it, if not the only use for it.
