It has been confirmed, via Nintendo’s website, that Nintendo 3DS’ version of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed will not release until next year. Sega’s new racing game for Nintendo’s latest handheld is now scheduled to launch in February 2013. The game is, however, already available to purchase on other platforms, including PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii U.

Well they’ve patched that up now. Bit I guess some of you are wondering why this game is so cheap ? (applies to both 360 and wiiu version which i’ve played) , The game looks like shit lol.
Looks like it’s been rendered at 540p on a dreamcast game engine with some added effects. Hence the low price tag. Gameplay is good though….
I am absoloutly loving my wiiu. But some of these ports should NOT of passed through quality control. I just bought Assassins creed 3. And the Graphics look better on wiiu. And at the start of the game the framerate is smooth about 30fps+ .
As soon as you land in Boston , the framerate drops to about 20fps and becomes horrible. It’s really pissing me off.
I won’t be able to buy these third party games for the wiiu if they keep turning out like this.No way Jose.
Nintendo Land , NSMBU , Blops 2 , TTT2 , ZombiU all have a very good and slick framerate.
Nintendo are going to damage their reputation by putting games out that have a choppier framerate than the xbox 360. Sigh……..
Like I said , Assassins creed actually has higher res textures and better lighting on wiiu. But when you’re in the city , everything goes tits up.

You can tell the difference…something to take note of is even on the current gen consoles the game runs like shit there too. I have it on the 360 and it’s a horribly framed bug fest of a game.
I’ve not played the 360 version of Assassins creed 3. But IMHO , for the wiiu version they should of removed some stuff from the gameworld. That’s the culprate. The game in less dense areas runs perfectly.
Now , I KNOW it’s not the wiiu’s fault. Because i OWN games which run like a Knife through butter on wiiu. This is just a case of ”Slap some xbox 360 code onto wiiu and some high res textures here and there and hope for the best”.
The most annoying thing is , Right at the start of the game , the game runs like CoD. Then goes into a chop fest. So it gets your hopes up and then drops them again.
Weird. Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed looks BEAUTIFUL on my TV—better than most of the other Wii U games I have. It’s definitely running at native 1080p as well because the textures are so crisp and clear. So far, I love Trine 2: Director’s Cut the most in terms of its graphics and 1080p resolution, same with Nintendo Land.
It’s not Nintendo’s fault that third-party developers aren’t working out their ports to take advantage of the Wii U’s power. They’re just lazy and don’t wanna iron out the bugs or frame rate issues clearly present in their games.
Sonic looks amazing, though. Can’t wait to see Sonic 2013 come out on the Wii U. X)
I agree with you. But sonic looks fucked on my tv :S. It looks the same as the 360 version maybe a little better. It’s not exactly a showcase of the wiiu. And it looks blury on the gamepad compared to other games.
I’m not questioning the graphical capability of NIntendo’s new machine. It’s a new architecture and it looks amazing. Nintendo Land even is insanely pretty.
Games that do the wiiu justice , that I have seen – NSMBU , Nintendo Land , TTT2 , Blops 2 , Trine 2 , Nano assault Neo , ZombiU , AC3 (slightly choppy framerate) all look amazing on wiiu , and are an excellent starting off point for the console. And all have awesome framerate , except for AC3 which drops a little bit.
If there’s one thing in gaming I can’t stand it’s bad framerates :/ cough batman cough.
Nintendo will get past it though once developers get a grasp of the system.
The wiiu will produce way better graphics than last generation…
You have to understand, the framerate’s been sloppy on the 360 as well. I mentioned this a while back when I was spoiling–I mean, describing the features of the game and how the framerate was so stupid. After the Thanksgiving patch, though, it improved DRAMATICALLY. Like, A LOT. I’m not saying it’s ultra-smooth now, I’m saying the framerate is now comfortable to look at. Let’s hope the Wii U version gets the same patch.

Playstation All Stars is actually pretty good. Not Smash Bros good, but still pretty good, I’ll certainly buy it.

There’s just something about the survival horror genre that I haven’t come to terms with since Resident Evil 4. If I can’t see myself playing a game five to ten years from now, then I tend not to buy it at all (same goes for downloadable games).
Up to this day, I still go back and play some good ol’ RE4. It’s my favorite Resident Evil game, Resident Evil 2 being my second favorite. :)

Critics? I based my comment on facts kiddo. Wii U has better graphics, Miiverse as well the great online structure, multiple ways to play. Bugs don’t count because they get and already have been patched.

I got Allstars Wii U and I have the patch, only 3 more characters left to get now. I can say that the graphics are AMAZING! BUT the framerate is SHIT. I would give the game a solid 9/10
Graphics are amazing, but if you’re having problems with the frame rate, then maybe you need to put your TV into Game Mode? o.O
My TV plays the game at a solid 30 fps. Not all games are 60 fps “omaigawd” smooth.
