Nintendo has confirmed via the official listing for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake that the Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive will support VRR when played in docked mode on an HDMI 2.1 compatible TV. This is the second game that will support variable refresh rate as the first is Welcome Tour. Hopefully more games get patched in the meantime to take advantage of VRR now that it has rolled out for docked mode on Nintendo Switch 2 via the latest system update.
Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake will use VRR in docked mode

Glad I just bought a 75″ 120hz tv last Friday!!
OoT and new Godzilla movie the same weekend!
its gonna be a good weekend
Perfect game to test this out on.
I am praying that some of the Capcom ports and another crabs treasure get this VRR docked update, it would be so nice.
And that’s why you all should unsubscribe from the DF channels, as they have too poor content.
My switch 2 and TV connection is weird… with the option enabled, my TV reports VRR is enabled ALL the time 🤔
If you have VRR enabled in the settings then it will be enabled all the time. But the refresh rate isn’t actually changing with the game it’s still locked at either 60 or 120. Only when playing a game that has been patched will the refresh rate actually change in sync with the games frame rate. :)
The addition of docked VRR is a nice example of how hardware features can become more useful as developers start supporting them in individual games. It will be interesting to see whether more Switch 2 titles receive similar updates, particularly games where smoother motion can make a noticeable difference. Players who enjoy rhythm-focused gameplay can also try fnf unblocked, which puts timing and musical accuracy at the center of the experience.
It’s interesting to see Nintendo adding VRR support to a major remake, especially since docked-mode VRR depends on both the Switch 2 and an HDMI 2.1-compatible display. Features like this show how modern display technology can improve the experience of classic games without changing what made them memorable. For another kind of creative game experience, sprunki offers music-focused browser gameplay where players can experiment with different sounds and combinations.
VRR support in docked mode is a welcome addition, especially for a game like Ocarina of Time that deserves a smooth modern presentation. I’m curious to see how well the remake maintains its frame rate during busy areas and combat. Hopefully, Nintendo will bring docked VRR wordle hint today support to more Switch 2 games in the future!
