The Japan Game Awards 2026 recently happened to kick off the annual Tokyo Game Show and it was a grand event with some well-deserved winners. The adorable and addictive Pokemon Pokopia took home the big award which was titled the Grand Award. Stellar games such as Pragmata won the Breakthrough Award and wonderfully animated The Super Mario Galaxy Movie won the Special Award. Here’s a list of the winners from The Japan Game Awards 2026:

Two of my favourite games this year
Good, pokopia deserves it. I also like mecha chameleon was awarded, I tried out that game after the direct and it was pretty fun. It’s a very creative twist on hide and seek. I recommend it a ton.
