PES 2014 Skipping Wii U, Nintendo 3DS

PES_2014

EA’s FIFA 14 isn’t the only soccer simulation game that will not see release on Nintendo platforms this year. Konami has confirmed that Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 (PES 2014) will not be released on the Wii U or Nintendo 3DS. PES European community manager Adam Bhatti claims that the reason the game will skip the hand-held console is because no one bought the Nintendo 3DS version of PES 2013, which was released in 2012. PES 2014 is scheduled to arrive in September for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Xbox 360 and PC.

      1. Considering most the nintendo fanboys were talking this game up after they found out FIFA wasn’t coming to the U. Quite a lot. Plus you know …. half of Europe would play it too …

              1. Sorry but the PC will will use the old engine, the new engine for FIFA 14 is reserved for Xbox One and PS4

      2. I think most of european and latin-american gamers (like me) will miss it. Personally I was waiting for it. And always preferred PES over FIFA.

  1. In other news, Wii U will not be able to play soccer unless its goes outside with a soccer ball. WARNING PLAYING REAL LIFE SOCCER WITH YOUR WII U MIGHT DESTROY THE CONSOLE.

  2. Konami is acting shady too? wtf no Castlevania? No Metal Gear but gay ass Microsoft can have them? FUUUuu-jdgen BIIIiiii-scuit @#$%!

    1. Well if Wii U doesn’t get Metal Gear 5 I say strip Snake of his roster spot in SSB4 and give it to someone more deserving like Megaman or Bayonetta. đź’‹

    1. I bought PES 2012 on 3DS. It was amazing I have to admit , it was like the PS2 versions but with much nicer visuals and in 3D with lots of modern features.

I’m dissapointed about this , but I heard PES 2013 was just a kit update from 2012 so I skipped that.

      1. These third party developers are a fucking embarrassment to the industry , many of them are even scared to support the PS4 and xbone (let alone 3DS and Vita) do they not realize these consoles are the future OF THEIR OWN BUSINESS. They need to do things now to reap rewards in the future .

Perfect example – Ubisofts support of the Wiiu.

        1. i have a feeling they will all jump ship when the other 2 consoles release. they will both have a slow start, and Nintendo is going to Captain Falcon their asses with a Price drop on the Wii U.

        1. Yes I do. I’m a Manchester City fan. And yes… I’ve supported them all my life , I’m from Manchester :)

  3. Another skip but i really don’t buy sports games anyway…personally soccer is my least fave sport so yeah that’s just me though.

    1. Silly! Pitfalls don’t do sports! You were lucky a computer or a phone dropped in you so you could get on the internet! But I guess that’s given since it’s near my door…

      1. There’s always that one scumbag that has to correct the American that calls it soccer. Soccer is what we call it, so calm down.

  4. There is no a Nintendo game that really impacts on the Wii U console, there is no surprise that Konami or EA skipping this.

  5. At this point I really could give a rat’s ass about any 3rd party titles on the Wii U. Screw all of them. All I care about are is the 1st party stuff.

    1. See, this type of reaction is why the 3rd party support continues to dwindle. If you don’t support 3rd parties then every year for the Wii U will be like this one, a stagnant gameless snorefest, that doesn’t see enough games to keep the console alive. Effectively giving the console a shorter lifespan than the Gamecube! Support 3rd parties and tell them that this news disappoints you, that way in the future they will know that they do have fans on “every” console and they are losing money by not publishing their games on the systems that fans really want them on! Don’t write off 3rd parties because they side-stepped your console of choice, WRITE them a letter, or email, and tell them of your disappointment! They don’t know you’re disappointed if you don’t tell them! And only buying 1st party games is the best way to kill Nintendo and all hopes of more support for it having a lot of games in the future! Unless all you want to see is more mario/Mario soccer/mario basketball/mario party/mario golf/mario *insert generic title here*… I don’t just want mario games, I don’t just want Zeldas and Pikmin, I want a wide variety of games from multiple creative developers, brought to this platform to show all of it’s capabilities well into the future! I will give up hope for 3rd parties once Ubisoft stops supporting the Wii U, but until then I will gladly support all 3rd party attempts and tell 3rd parties of my disapproval of them skipping over my preferred system to play their games on, if they decide to continue down this unsupportive road!

      1. Nintendo has 99 million reasons to rip your lengthy dissertation to shreds. They don’t need a SHRED of 3rd party support. However Nintendo has plenty of 3rd party support from developers over seas and indi-developers. They also have support from the big guns like Capcom, Namco, Tecmo-Koei, Ubisoft, Activision, and Sega.

It is unabashed arrogance think Nintendo needs ANY of the support from any company that has turned down the Wii U.

        1. I didn’t say they need the support, I said that I, as a paying consumer want more options to play on the Wii U… Which is my current favorite system. So go be uppity about my comment somewhere else.

        2. And your right Nintendo doesn’t need their support, but I want it. My options for a more lengthy and mature gaming environment on the Wii U is seeming more and more limited as time ones on.

        3. Also, the plethora of over seas devs, seem to be keeping their games… Overseas. “No word on whether it not there will be a western release.” Seems to be the quote of this generation for Wii U. I’m just disappointed in 3rd parties and in nintendo’s lies about all the enthusiastic 3rd party support lined up for Wii U at last years E3.

          1. I don’t think they lied at all. I think they did have 3rd party support initially but once devs found out that Nintendo was not going to fund their money grubbing habits they jumped off the bandwagon.

EA stood on stage at E3 2011 and……well you saw.

            1. I did and I don’t really care for EA at all! Criterion made a great version of NFSMWU, but still not seeing much support from 3rd parties aside from ubi, capcom and sega.

              1. Namco, Tecmo-Koei, MonoliftSoft, Activision, WB Games, Platinum Games, Shi’Nen, Atlus, and many more smaller independent studios. I think the few devs that aren’t are trying to make a loud noise so people can see what they are doing in a effort to try and FORCE Nintendo into doing what they want. In actuality, Nintendo has pretty decent 3rd party support. Those companies aren’t out ringing bells and blowing trumpets about it because they are hard at work on Wii U games.

                1. Tecmo-koei, please list any games in the works from them for the Wii U.
Activision… Really, where is CoD:Ghosts for Wii U? MonolithSoft is almost a 1st party dev for Nintendo now, which is awesome! WB, where is the deathstroke DLC for Wii U version of batman origins? Atlus, mostly 3ds not Wii U. The list of AAAs making core games for the system that are heavy hitters is very small. I do agree with you about the few being loud to try and force Nintendo into a corner, but the majority of “3rd party support” is coming from indie devs, not big name studios. Indy devs are the future AAA devs and I’m fine with that.

          1. Childish answers? Sorry but that’s absurd. You’re saying nobody gives a fuck about the vita when quite clearly their is alot of people that do. It’s just there is a huge lack of games coming out for it. It is still however, a great system.

            1. Agreed. I don’t have a Vita and don’t really want one, because of the lack of games, but it’s not a bad system. portaldark did give a childish answer based solely on “it’s” personal preference as a fact. Fact: Vita is a very capable system and works wonderfully. Fact: It has fewer games in production than the commodore 64, which kills it’s desirability. But there is no denying that the Console still holds potential, it keeps out selling the Wii U in Japan, so that must mean something.

      1. The psp is getting one but vita ain’t getting one. I find that interesting… interesting in a strange way.

    1. Konami dosnt have the cash to warrant multiplatform releases i think we are lucky if we get at least 1 big sure sell from konami at this stage.

      1. yeah i thought the wii u was the only console that wouldn’t get the pes 14. Then i saw other sites were that said that it won’t be coming to ps4 and Xbox one either so it’s quite understandable. But since fifa 14 won’t be coming to wii u it wouldn’t be a bad idea to sell it for the wii u it will get an exclusive fan base if its done right and not a bad port

    1. Well Nintendo is also seen as a competitor more so than a potential partner… Going up against Nintendo titles is bad enough without going up against them on the same machine… Lets face this too… A lot of people buy nintendo consoles for nintendos games as well as any rare moment of 3rd party exclusive.. Nintendo is one of the biggest threats to other companies

  6. FAWKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT ME WANTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

      1. THAT ARENT COMING TO THE SHIT U !!! LOL NOOOOOOOOO! I STILL NEED THEM!!! FEED ME THEM PORTAL FEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED ME

      1. though they should have taking the chance on wii u gamers and getting exlusive money since since the competition wont be there. im not a sprots fan when it comes to games but i dont think that the 3 million wii u owner are all like me. fifa 13 on wii u was a bad port, BAD it deverved not to be bought. if pes 14 is done right it would have been a winner on the wii u (in football game).
and konami has the latin americans (in sales ( i think in asia as well)) that likes PES

  7. No one bought PES 2013 on 3DS because the game sucked. You’d rather release the game for a dead portable than the Wii U and EXTREMELY SUCCESSFUL 3DS!!??

    1. PSP isn’t dead. It’s the issue that Sony has. Everyone is supporting the PSP while leaving the Vita to die.

  8. I bought the game for my 3DS.

This will just put even more people off the WiiU !

Unless you only want to play Nintendo games there is no point in buying a WiiU.

    1. Considering they said the previous versions didnt sell well …. I don’t think it will cost them at all

            1. Nope 3DS. It sold terribly, so they decided to not put it on 3DS and a console (being the Wii U) with a significantly less install base. Simple shit really.

                    1. If they do, the only think I’ll like left really with Konami would be castlevania.

  9. Nooooooo I could hack no Fifa cause its shit and no American sports games because again their shit… But PES! Hellz no! Nintendo fix this shit before I buy a ps4 and throw my wii U in the corner :(

    1. It obviously will become available on the PS4 one way or another. They won’t have the game just die off when the new consoles launch. Besides at least I’d have a chance to play a decent football game again cause it won’t happen with nintendo

  10. The LAPD, The FBI, and the CIA are all trying to prove that they are the best at apprehending criminals. The President decides to give them a test. He releases a rabbit into a forest and each of them has to catch it. The CIA goes in. They place animal informants throughout the forest. They question all plant and mineral witnesses. After three months of extensive investigations they conclude that rabbits do not exist. The FBI goes in. After two weeks with no leads they burn the forest, killing everything in it, including the rabbit, and they make no apologies. The rabbit had it coming. The LAPD goes in. They come out two hours later with a badly beaten bear. The bear is yelling: “Okay! Okay! I’m a rabbit! I’m a rabbit!’

  11. Fuck you nintendrones, XBOXone will shit all over anything queertendo has at E3 and for many years to come.
    #XBOXoneNATION

    1. You mean the console with the worst reveal ever? Lol trolling is fun when it has a bit of truth you know?

      1. Nah, its just fun watching you two year old babies cry in fear of the Xbox one caues you know that the wiiU is a failure and a disgraceful console.

        1. Don’t worry, we’ll give each other fellatio with our Xbox One’s and Wii U’s. My dick is juicer than Iwata’s. Lick it or die.

    2. Nintendo has generations, meaning people were having sex before this gay movement started. Exboxone was born in gay revolution troll harder moron.

      1. It might be my eyes deceiving me or noot but do you “hate” gays or something?…

Gays have existed since the dawn of man and has only been called an abomination by the pathetic abraham religions…

Plus gays are mostly pro Nintendo…

  12. I don’t play pes, even on my ps3… according to me, who buy a nintendo console is not really interested in soccer games.

  13. SO NO NEXT GEN FOOTBALL AS PES AND FIFA ON THE OTHER SYSTEMS IS A OBSOLETE OUT DATED JOKE

YOU CONTROL ONE PLAYER AT A TIME OH MY GOD SO NEXT GEN MUST BUY PS4 LOL

SO VIDEO GAME FOOTBALL IS FINISHED AND FIFAS TV SOAP OPRA CALLED FIFA IS LEFT TO TAKE OVER AND RUIN EVERYTHING THANKS ALOT SONY AND MS FANS FOR DESTROYING GAMING

SO ITS KINECT TALK FOOTBALL AND OLD FASHIONED CONTROLS AND OUTBDSTED MECHANICS THAT WERE FRESH IN THE N64 DAYS

THIS INDUSTRY NEEDS TO CRASH AND BURN ITS GETTING BEYOND REASON

FOOTBALL -GAMEPAD-WII REMOTE TO TAKE IT TO NEW HIGHTS OF FULL TEAM CONTROL IN GAME REAL TIME MANEGMENT AND TACTICS

NO NO NO NO THANKS TO MS AND SONY FANS BUYING DOG SHIT WE ARE LEFT WITH PES CASUAL AND FUFS CASUAL

WITH THE SAME FUCKING MECHANICS THAT WE PLAYED ON THE FUCKING N64

THIS INDUSTRY NEEDS TO BURN LOL BABYS FOOTBALL SONY MS FANS BE FUCKING ASHAMED

  14. The Wii made pes08,9,10,11 saleable. It made the series survive really. Oh! Konami, Kojima and EA are are devils in nature.

    1. Never put Kojima in the same boat as EA. EVER. Kojima has massive amounts of talent. I’d rate him better than many Nintendo developers. I would put him up there as one of the industry players with Miyamoto and Gabe Newell etc who changed the industry.

      *cue fanboy bullshit*

  15. LOL OUT DATED CASUAL PES AND FIFA LOL MS AND SONY FANS CLUNKY MECHANICAL CONTROLS AND GOSH ONE PLAYER AT A TIME CONTROLS

THESE PEOPLE ARE A INSULT TO GAMING CASUAL OBSOLETE DUMBED DOWN GAMEPLAY

PES COULD HAVE REINVENTED ITS SELF ON WIIU

  16. If Nintendo wants any kind of football game on the Wii U then I guess they will have to make another Mario Strikers unless Level-5 decide to make a new Inazuma Eleven for the Wii U.

    1. Mario Strikers is nothing like this. Nintendo shouldn’t even bother with it. They should just bribe Konami instead.

      1. Nintendo shouldnt have bothered the game sold near 3 million copys abd is fantastic fun ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE A FOOTBALL SIM ITS A FUN TITLE Has nothing to do with pes fifa uafa etc why bring that game into it COMPLETLY DIFFERANT ENTITY””pes wii left pes and fifa ps3 for dead EXPAND MASSIVLY ON THAT TAKE FOOTBALL NEXT GEN

  17. Big deal just have Nintendo make Mario sport games. Mario Super Strikers for Gamecube was fun as hell. All i had to do was throw banana peels and turtle shells to distract the other team to win.

  18. Imagine the next gen posabilitys

Wii remote and nunchuck or gamepad and touch screen or wii remote and nunchuck and gamepad sgreen as tacticle managment screen and remote play also

Niw imagine one player plays wii remote and nunchuck other player is the team manager on the gamepad manager sets tactics and formstion and gives instructions and the wii remote playet plays the team

Have wii remote and nunchuck vs managment mode on the gsmepad no actual team play just a managers tsctics and instruction vs someone playing with wii remote so one player vs anothet in managment mode

Dual player two player over two screens instead of one multipul players per console online

SHALL I GO ON CLEARLY I HAVE FAR FAR MORE IDEAS THAN ANY FUCKIBG RETARD IN THIS INDUSTRY

    1. Only wii U. Is next gen gamepad is perfect for team sports as is wii rdmote DIE INDUDTRY DIE

  19. Oh, so sad, because when I think of the reasons why I bought a 3DS, I think FISH in spanish.
    Except not.

  20. Face the reality, the Wii U is not powerful enough for the new FIFA and new PES engine…… FIFA 14 with the old engine is reserved for Xbox 360, PS3 and you know why? because of 150+ mil PS3/60 woners, thats why. Wii U is almost zero compared to that (im talking about the install base obivious) and WIi U is not powerful enough for the new FIFA and PES engine. The new FIFA engine is reserved for PS4 and Xbox One, NOT PC… WHY???? They are forcing us to buy the new consoles, game sales are much better on consoles than PC even if the PC is much more powerful.

Del with it, face the reality already!

    1. Ignoring that developers need to tackle the GPU not the CPU in order to unmask the power of the Wii U. Also ignoring that EA is butthurt with Nintendo is the real reason why EA games aren’t going to Nintendo. And lastly ignoring that Wii U’s capacity is far from PS4.

  21. who the fuck cares about

I don’t know why some nintendo fans are jumping on bullcrap news, for example Cassidy was kind of worried about EA thing, who the fuck cares about EA’s shit, don’t fall for this fail train drama

  22. I don’t see the appeal of having sports games on a handheld, when the same games can be experienced in higher quality on a console.
