EA’s FIFA 14 isn’t the only soccer simulation game that will not see release on Nintendo platforms this year. Konami has confirmed that Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 (PES 2014) will not be released on the Wii U or Nintendo 3DS. PES European community manager Adam Bhatti claims that the reason the game will skip the hand-held console is because no one bought the Nintendo 3DS version of PES 2013, which was released in 2012. PES 2014 is scheduled to arrive in September for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Xbox 360 and PC.

I bought PES 2012 on 3DS. It was amazing I have to admit , it was like the PS2 versions but with much nicer visuals and in 3D with lots of modern features.
I’m dissapointed about this , but I heard PES 2013 was just a kit update from 2012 so I skipped that.
These third party developers are a fucking embarrassment to the industry , many of them are even scared to support the PS4 and xbone (let alone 3DS and Vita) do they not realize these consoles are the future OF THEIR OWN BUSINESS. They need to do things now to reap rewards in the future .

If you don’t support 3rd parties then every year for the Wii U will be like this one, a stagnant gameless snorefest, that doesn’t see enough games to keep the console alive. Effectively giving the console a shorter lifespan than the Gamecube! Support 3rd parties and tell them that this news disappoints you, that way in the future they will know that they do have fans on “every” console and they are losing money by not publishing their games on the systems that fans really want them on! Don’t write off 3rd parties because they side-stepped your console of choice, WRITE them a letter, or email, and tell them of your disappointment! They don’t know you’re disappointed if you don’t tell them! And only buying 1st party games is the best way to kill Nintendo and all hopes of more support for it having a lot of games in the future! Unless all you want to see is more mario/Mario soccer/mario basketball/mario party/mario golf/mario *insert generic title here*… I don’t just want mario games, I don’t just want Zeldas and Pikmin, I want a wide variety of games from multiple creative developers, brought to this platform to show all of it’s capabilities well into the future! I will give up hope for 3rd parties once Ubisoft stops supporting the Wii U, but until then I will gladly support all 3rd party attempts and tell 3rd parties of my disapproval of them skipping over my preferred system to play their games on, if they decide to continue down this unsupportive road!
Nintendo has 99 million reasons to rip your lengthy dissertation to shreds. They don’t need a SHRED of 3rd party support. However Nintendo has plenty of 3rd party support from developers over seas and indi-developers. They also have support from the big guns like Capcom, Namco, Tecmo-Koei, Ubisoft, Activision, and Sega.

I don’t think they lied at all. I think they did have 3rd party support initially but once devs found out that Nintendo was not going to fund their money grubbing habits they jumped off the bandwagon.

I did and I don’t really care for EA at all! Criterion made a great version of NFSMWU, but still not seeing much support from 3rd parties aside from ubi, capcom and sega.
Namco, Tecmo-Koei, MonoliftSoft, Activision, WB Games, Platinum Games, Shi’Nen, Atlus, and many more smaller independent studios. I think the few devs that aren’t are trying to make a loud noise so people can see what they are doing in a effort to try and FORCE Nintendo into doing what they want. In actuality, Nintendo has pretty decent 3rd party support. Those companies aren’t out ringing bells and blowing trumpets about it because they are hard at work on Wii U games.

Activision… Really, where is CoD:Ghosts for Wii U? MonolithSoft is almost a 1st party dev for Nintendo now, which is awesome! WB, where is the deathstroke DLC for Wii U version of batman origins? Atlus, mostly 3ds not Wii U. The list of AAAs making core games for the system that are heavy hitters is very small. I do agree with you about the few being loud to try and force Nintendo into a corner, but the majority of “3rd party support” is coming from indie devs, not big name studios. Indy devs are the future AAA devs and I’m fine with that.

I don’t have a Vita and don’t really want one, because of the lack of games, but it’s not a bad system. portaldark did give a childish answer based solely on “it’s” personal preference as a fact. Fact: Vita is a very capable system and works wonderfully. Fact: It has fewer games in production than the commodore 64, which kills it’s desirability. But there is no denying that the Console still holds potential, it keeps out selling the Wii U in Japan, so that must mean something.
