A chart posted by Reddit user Whitexar shows that it is Nintendo with the most exclusives at this year’s E3 event on their latest home console, Wii U. The console has a total of thirteen exclusive titles that won’t be seen on any other platform. Interestingly, it’s the PlayStation Vita and the PC with the least exclusive content. there are two yoshi games in develoment. Yoshi’s New Island is for 3DS and a title without a confirmed name for Wii U. It is similar to Kirby’s Epic Yarn but with Yoshi. Both have been delayed to 2014.

People believe nothing can beat the PS2. I somewhat agree since I agree that Gamecube/Xbox/PS2 is the best generation since almost all developers trying something new. I mean GTA3 (past two games are 2D), God of Wars, Kirby Air Ride, Super Smash Bros Melee (I know it is not really new), Halo, Super Mario Sunshine, and you get the idea. Now it is just milked titles including God of Wars, Halo, and Mario games if you know what I mean.

Well, to be fair, Sony has just as many FPS games as Microsoft. Remember Playstation All-Stars (I loved that game, btw). Most of the character roster consisted of characters who used guns as their main method of fighting.

That’s what happen when everyone ran out of ideas, fired all the developers, and figure that people will buy those games even it is port version of the game like FIFA12 to FIFA13. Only way to stop these is to make the sale go bad but… everyone keep on buying. Call of Duty still selling well and I see no reason why its should be stop (I got my business cap on) until customers stop buying them. I mean I agree that Call of Duty have lost their touch for past 5 or 6 games. (as a gamer)
I don’t think Nintendo has ran out of ideas, they are just giving gamers what they want. It’s 3rd party devs who have run out of ideas. They give you shooting after shooting games. They just change the story and characters and call it a new IP. They also give you racing after racing game, they just change the name and call it a new IP. Nintendo won’t release new IP’s unless it makes sense for them to make new ones. Nintendo is constantly changing the gameplay of their games and that’s why they never get boring.
Maybe they can’t afford to take risks (due to high development costs). But new, original games are still a possibility.
Mario Kart 8 stole the whole show for me. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect it to looks so awesome. I’m more excited for it than I am smash bros , and that’s saying something.
I dunno, My favourite franchise is Mario kart, but i hope they dont over do it on the gravity things. I still want to play it with my family, that type of stuff may make it unenjoyable, like how driving on walls your literally seeing it from sideways, which looks odd. anyway, im excited.

I know it’s never the most important thing , but the graphics of it are incredible , they actually exceeded my expectations of what Wiiu could do with a Mario kart game @ 60FPS…
Considering that Mario Kart is a franchise that always deliver a guaranteed excellence in every possible way, graphics can be talked about by us since the game itself is not based on that and has never been…
I agree, it looks very lovely and it makes me feel as if I’m playing a rebirth of Mario Kart 64’s “realistic” feel all over again with all the fun gameplay…
I can’t wait to see if they ever do a F-Zero in the same style as F-Zero GX only better of course…

Mario Kart, Super Smash, and Pikmin 3 as well as Donkey Kong are the games I waiting for. Off TV mode is better too. I love off TV mode.
this year I will be getting Wii U along with Pikmin 3 and Donkey Kong. Next year X, Bayonetta 2, Mario Kart, and Smash. That does not count the multiplats I will be purchasing.
I can see 9s and 10s all around Mario Kart 8 (mostly perfect 10s).

I think Wind Waker looks really good too. I love the song from the Duka tree. I played Wind Walker like 8 or 9 times. This time I play it in better graphics with an all new controller.

PS4 is shaping up to be an amazing console launch. Sony have actually learned from their past unlike nintendo who keeps making the SAME mistakes over and over… Nintendo are either really stupid or very out of touch with the market. But at least its a ton better than Xbox One.
SAME mistakes? Nintendo has only entered HD development once, which was with the Wii U, hence the delaying of games.
However, they have done a lot of DIFFERENT mistakes, like not prioritize HD and online (Wii) and so on.

This is a GIGANTIC mislead here. Though I completely expect it from this site. 1st party exclusives are all well and good, but without any good 3rd party exclusives, this list doesn’t have the impact you’re trying to imply, it just makes it look sad.

The Wii is the 5th best-selling console of all time. The 3DS is the fastest-selling console of all-time. Neither one has massive 3rd party support
People buy Nintendo consoles for NINTENDO GAMES. The fact that out of 27 titles on the show floor at E3, 13 of them are exclusive to the Wii U shows gamers, press, investors, and 3rd party studios on the fence that Nintendo is serious about supporting their console. The biggest complaint (and excuse) about the Wii U is it not having enough games. Nintendo wiped their arse with that excuse. The Wii U has more exclusives than any console on the show floor at E3 Even more than the PS3 and 360.
I already knew that E3 was not going to change anyone’s minds who were already bashing Nintendo in one form or another. Nintendo erases excuses, people just come up with new ones. I’m just glad that Nintendo has structured things in such a way that if people are are be d-bags and not support the system it will not stop system system from being successful, nor will it stop me from enjoying the games I want to enjoy.
Yeah most of my games are exclusives when I buy Nintendo consoles. And that’s only because, Nintendo delivers adventure, sports, strategy, board games fighting games 1st shooters to their consoles. I like their sports like Mario Tennis and Super strikers and Mario base ball. Sports titles that mimic reality sports bore me. I can play the real thing.

Nintendo has proven once again just how futile it is for 3rd parties to not develop on the Wii U. They complain about not enough exposure. If these geniuses had of been all in with the Wii U from the start with support look how much content the Wii U would have had going into the holiday season?

Not only the most, but the BEST exclusives. Where else can you play Mario, Zelda, Pikmin, Donkey Kong and others? I will NEVER turn on Nintendo. I can’t live without their first-party games. Nintendo’s exclusives sell their consoles, if anything if they cut price and bring out some serious heavy weight exclusives like Zelda, Metroid, Fire Emblem ect… they will easy pick up 50 – 60m WiiU sales (easy enough to see them through the gen), most gamers will flock to stores just to grab the console if one of the many Nintendo exclusive heavyweights comes along, let alone 3 or 4 of them. Already hearing about a Zelda game has convinced me outright to buy the console in July.
On the other hand if Nintendo keep doing remakes of successful old games just to tricker the “nostalgia” button in your hearts and convince you to buy the console, just to play a game you already played, and not long after purchase realize you got swindled. Nintendo you need to make a NEW game, a NEW Zelda (and not one every 98729678923 years it takes you to develop it only to have to worse than the last time you made one), or a new Mario, one that redefines the Italian plumber, how about a open world RPG 3d version of Pokemon?
How about you make innovative games instead of innovative hardware that fails miserably (anyone who argues the tablet game pad is anything but a failed experiment are kidding themselves, even Nintendo’s own staff don’t understand the appeal behind it).- I will still buy your console for exclusive purposes, you guys have the best exclusives i cant get anywhere else.
