  1. ……maybe “25 Lives” is the name of a bonus stage?

Eh. The Deadly Six Bonus Edition was enough of a motivation to preorder. This was just… an extra dip of icing?

  2. Modern games shouldn’t even have lives anyway. There’s essentially no punishment for game overs. The lives system was designed to add lifespan to a game. Games used to be only about an hour to two hours long if you beat them, but the idea was that if you ran out of lives you got a game over, and you’d go back. You had to run through the game without getting a game over. These days there’s a save function – if you sent modern gamers back to the beginning they’d cry like babies. Game overs are just a minor waste of time, and nothing more. Get rid of lives from games, and as for lives in preorders? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha basically.
