Splinter Cell animation director Kristjan Zadziuk has told the Official Xbox Magazine that the stealth based franchise is still evolving and the formula often changes. Zadziuk pointed out that he believes that the Assassin’s Creed series is a product that has been refined by the company, and he hopes that the same will be said of Splinter Cell.
“We haven’t got the luxury of Assassin’s Creed where we know our formula; we’re still evolving.”
“If you look at them, there’s no two Splinter Cells that are the same. They’ve all evolved and adapted. That, to me, is what makes it really exciting. We’re getting closer to what that game is, and maybe it isn’t necessarily about Splinter Cell being a 15-16 million Call of Duty-type best-seller. Maybe it’s just about it being the best Splinter Cell that it can be.”

Ha! Buuuuuuuuuurrn!
Splinter Cell didn’t sell on Wii U. It was one of those games that 1% of all the sales were on Wii U… Probably safe to say the next installment won’t be coming to Nintendo’s latest console.
I should also add that I didn’t buy Splinter Cell. It didn’t look appealing to me.
Splinter Cell didn’t sell well on any console.
Splinter Cell sales number regarding the Wii U are 3.5%
Using the total sales number of each individual console, Splinter Cell sell better in the Wii U that in the other consoles.
Yes, probably safe to say the next installment won’t be coming to Nintendo’s latest console.
I will I should also add that I didn’t buy Splinter Cell, it was that or Pikmin 3, and Pikmin was more appealing to me.
Yea it sold terribly overall. Ubisoft expected around 10m in sales by the end of the year, and it really is only around 2.5m currently.
wow…. that’s too bad. It probably “was” a good game, but not my type.
Splinter Cell 1, 2 & 3 are more or the less the same. Improvements made with each iteration, but the core gameplay remained the same.
Lets hope it ‘evolves’ back into a stealth franchise.
Just take Chaos Theory, and improve it a bit. That’s all you need to do Ubisoft. It’s not difficult.
to be honest, i dont like Splinter Cell as much as other Ubi games
What western forces talks about when they say “evolving”, they are either just talking about the graphics or detailed characters…
The gameplay is basically the same…
Yea don’t expect the next one to come to Wii U.
I liked SCPT but this new one blacklist didnt just seem appealing to me, it seems more action based rather than stealth based. I would take MG on WiiU over Splinter Cell tbh, even though MGS4 sucked.
I didnt get the opportunity to try this game as I had quite a catalog of games I purchased that I hadn’t completed yet. Both indie and major retailed games. But yeah I will be purchasing this game.
This is still one of those titles I want to purchase for my wii u. I will eventually get this but right now the old lady and I are playing SM3DW. When this game was released i had pre-ordered AC4, so Ubisoft still got my dollars :p

Splinter Cell are a series of third-person action game with heavy emphasis on stealth, that can surely not be that hard to understand.
stuff
i actually liked splinter cell blacklist its one of my top games on my Wii U
Game was great, but online was just terrible, annoying, and just unplayable. Next time ubi, if u want more sales, you shouldnt release a broken game. its been 4+ months and online not fixed. so dont blame us for not wanting to buy your broken, unfixed game
Blacklist is great. Never really cared much for Splinter Cell, but I thought “why not give it a try?” At that price, it wouldn’t even make a dent in my account, so I gave it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised – played all missions stealth (didn’t have to kill a single NPC). Only problem is that I actually get a bit sad thinking about all the games I’ve never experienced just because I wrote them off as “not my kind of games”. Deus Ex, Arkham Origins/City and Black Flag, here I come!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
