The latest Miiverse post from Super Smash Bros. series director Masahiro Sakurai has revealed a new Animal Crossing-themed stage. Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS includes Tortimer Island, where the aged mayor plays a cameo role. Earlier this week, Sakurai confirmed that the twin sorceress sisters from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time appear in the 3DS version of the fighting game’s Gerudo Valley stage. Super Smash Bros. for 3DS is set to arrive this year.

        1. How is Little Mac lazy? Let’s see you come up with a better moveset and ability for a guy that only punches in his games.
Also, for his stage what else do you want? The boxing ring is the only location in the games

            1. Are you serious
You do realize that he’s from a game that was developed more than two decades ago, right? It’s not like they can entirely redesign a character. He’s a character from an old game, so of course they’re gonna keep his design as original as possible and make the best out of it. And who are you even to call the design of a character “lazy”? Maybe you should try coming off your high horse and acknowledge people’s hard work and that designing something, even a character, takes a lot of effort, you ignorant asshat.

              1. True, I agree with this guy, we ARE talking about a character that appeared in like 2 games over 10-15 years ago, I believe they did an incredible job considering the appearances he DID make used 2D basic sprite art

Don’t even talk to me about designing something because I’m hell of a lot closer to that world than you’ll ever be so I know what I’m talking about…

                1. Sorry, but how would you even possibly know? I literally commented as anonymous (and I still do, in case you still can’t see), so you have no single bit of information about me. I could be a famous designer, I could be a hobo, I could be Reggie Fils-Aime, I could be a dog. You wouldn’t know. Because you simply can not know. You also can not know how much of my life revolves around designing, so I would suggest you to keep your assumptions to yourself and give me a reply that actually has a point to it.

                    1. I have no idea what you’re talking about, because I clearly haven’t made any assumptions about you.

            2. So you’d rather him look completely different and over designed? Why not give him a different name while we’re at it.

          1. He’s better off not being in. I mean I expected him to be in, he’s unique to look at and fight with but I just groan everytime I see him… I think they should have waited on revealing him or atleast give us a glimpse of someone special to look forward to in the not so distant future.

        I guess…

But to be honest I would have wanted the stages to have more content and events happening than in Brawl…

        1. I personally only play competitive stages. I only need final destination and maybe a stage with 2 or 3 platforms spaced out. They can add all sorts of hazards to every other stage.

          1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

I play both but I know what you mean…

I play Final Destination without any items when I want to battle with real skills only…

                    1. You seem to take much pride in the fact that you go to college. Most people do nowadays, and they study “full time”. I attend a university as well, like most people.

          2. Final destination, fountain of dreams, kirbys dream land 64, battlefield and that one from yoshi story are the ones that i only need :)
Im hoping that this game plays more similar to melee, thought i love brawl and it can get pretty hardcore i prefer the metagame in melee. JUST IMO

        2. Yeah so the game can be even more casual al making in less competitive because of random death for the stage huh? Fucking casual.

            There is something called “options”…

And I want games that I can choose to play how I want…

And I’m already skilled enough to take on anyone so I’m not worried about being a “civilian” because I’m nowhere near that…

            1. Wow little boy needs tp show us how big his dick is? “YEAH I AM A REALLY GOOD PLAYER I COULD BEAT YOU UP EASILY BIATCH!!!” Good for you :)

              1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

                Little boy…

How that statement really is so far from the dark truth…

Well at least you know I’m not a so called “casual” now…

          2. Not all stage hazards are random/unavoidable. One could say it takes skill/knowledge of the level to avoid the ones that can be avoided. Prime example: The Metroid level in Brawl that flips upside down every now and then. They give a warning siren before flipping the stage. If you die from that stage flipping, it’s likely your own fault.

    1. no not at all. I wanst impressed at start BUT u can do so much with these……..plus they change everytime u play it.

pick up fruit from that tree and eat to recover health, platformon the trees and dock and plams, possibly( and hopefully) throw the seashells at people, swim in water, and theres also a sharl stage hazard possibility, a boat could go around swimming too.

so many things, sakurai just needs to confirm what they are1

      1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

        I guess you have a point there…

Too bad it’s not going to remain relaxed when I’m done with it…

  1. you nintendrones really like terrible graphics this on 3ds. you drones damage control graphics dont matter lol.

    1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

We enjoy playing games that are actually great and fun unlike your 8 year old dated Xbox with even older architecture and graphics that were mostly even inferior to the Gamecube…

      1. It’s funny how you try to make fun of a last gen platform for its “inferior” hardware when the Wii, the contribution of your aaaalmighty empire to the last generation, was by far the weakest of all. Hell, even the WiiU, your oh so holy console, has outdated hardware, and it’s a current gen platform. Nice try though, fanboy.
…Actually, no. It wasn’t a nice try, but rather a pathetic one.
        Have a nice day.

        1. Well, outdated might sound too harsh, apologies. Let’s replace that with least powerful, most inferior or something like that.

            1. Nobody here said anything about sales, so I’m wondering why you think saying that was a valuable input to the discussion.

        2. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

I’m not denying anything because I don’t care, he cares about power so I countered with “power” arguments…

And I brought up the Xbox 360 because he said the Wii U is weak and that the Xbox 360 is better and that he would buy it many times by now…

Which makes entirely no sense in any way…

    2. I like to play good games, I never really care about graphics unless it’s horrible in a way that ruins the game
Kid Icarus uprising, Fire Emblem Awakening, Zelda link between worlds, Mario kart 8, Starfox 64, Bravely Default, DOA Dimensions, Nano Assault, are examples of “good graphics” if you need some.
I’m not just a nintendrone though, I game on my PS3, my PC, and even my android, I mean hell even if SSB4 flops I still got dozens of other 3DS games to enjoy.
i’m sure the Wii U one is gonna look gorgeous
even with Wii’s “inferior” hardware Brawl looked AMAZING, as did skyward sword, and… you know what I can’t think of a bad looking game on Wii… I know most of the games were 480 or less but it never stood out as “bad”

  2. @aelous
