Project CARS Has Been Delayed Again It’s Now Coming In April And Wii U Not Mentioned

Project CARS looks like a gorgeous racer, but sadly Bandai Namco and Simply Mad Studios have announced that the game has been delayed yet again. The racing simulator is now scheduled to launch in April on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, but oddly the Wii U version hasn’t been mentioned by the company. Whether it’s coming at a later date or the same date remains to be seen.

“Moving a release date was not an easy decision to make, as we know our fans are eager to get their hands-on on Project CARS,” studio head Ian Bell. “But we know that these extra days will allow us to provide the best game experience that our fans deserve. We assure you the wait will be worth it when the game does arrive early April.”

Thanks, Jester

    1. Not even mentioned yet and I’m sure it’s nothing to do about Wii U. That notion in your head is purely brainwashing by lazy and greedy third parties. Until the devs says otherwise, I know it’s not about Wii U holding the game back.

If the Wii U version comes out after those other two console versions do, I’m… not gonna buy this right away.

    1. Why? if you dont have the other 2 consoles then i dont see why you dont need to buy it if you wanted it.(except awful revews which is expected from me)

      1. If they release Project Cars months after the PS4 and Xbox version, you will have the watch dogs scenerio all over again. It makes no since financially to release the game on the Wii U months later after the game has already been out on other systems. Like I have said many times, the hype will be gone, and spoilers will be all over the internet. Not to mention all the marketing will be used on the Ps4 and Xbox versions, and none will be used later for the Wii U version. The game will be lucky to sell 100k copies. It’s a stupid business practice. Release them all at the same time, or not at all.

  2. Who cares… it won’t help sell Wii U systems… and won’t sale many units on Wii U for them.
Feels like Nintendo is secretly glad that they don’t get downports of these third party title anymore anyway. It’s best for Wii U and the game itself if the two part ways.
This and more is whats forcing Nintendo into pumping out all these great exclusive games.
Third party support dying has been great for gamers who bought a Wii U just for the Nintendo made games. The original Wii sold too well and that’s why they stopped making good software for it years before the console life was up.. they’d already cashed in.
Keep Nintendo hungry to make money… and the big games will come… I’d say.
And a new Star Fox suggests this is exactly ALL the case.

      1. Nintendo Elite Commander Quadraxis

When have I heard that before?…

        All the time…

Facts are facts, my logic is undeniable…

        1. I mean until they say themselves that they are not bringing it to the wii u dont jump to conclusions.Just because ubisoft abandoned wii u doesnt mean anything, also it will hurt them a lot even more now when they said all those goo things about nintendo and wii u.

          1. Nintendo Elite Commander Quadraxis

They excluded our sacred console in their statement, ipso facto, the Wii U has no priority in their minds and so are now irrelevant by default just like the Ubisian garbage…

            1. I guess you are right, but anyway who needs this garbage when xenoblade chronicles is comming soon.I know i want play anything else for the next 3 months it released.

              1. Nintendo Elite Commander Quadraxis

True, but this just shows how they all have this hostility towards the empire just because they all know they will never have a game and character that’s as loved and iconic like ours are…

                1. I m not loyal to nintendo like you and really like to play all the great games but you are wrong.Yeah some companies like ubisoft,ea they would have wished to have some iconic characters but Sega, capcom, namco all have some iconic characters which we love also some appear to smash.

Also you need to understand that from a business perspective wii u is not a good investment, not just because people call it “weak” which the console if far from weak but its because its bind to nintendo and friendly family market and what the base is.Although many like to deny it many 3rd party games dont sell except some family party games, its basically nintendo fault to be in this point.

Now they are trying to fix it but they still have long way, like region locking removed,id not linked to the system, archaic online uses and etc.

                  1. If it weren’t for region lock, then I could import the standard New 3DS and it wouldn’t be as much of a problem. But I guess that just makes too sense to Nintendo.

                    1. I mean sony and microsoft managed to do it so i blame nintendo and their CEO that cant handle this situation. Also Nintendo have spend years saying how hard it is to get region locking removed but microsoft with xbox one managed in less than a year with their 180 turn.

                  2. Capcom has who? Mega Man? That fool is dead along with all of Capcoms “iconic” figures. They have none. Sega has sonic and he’s fucking dead as shit. Namco are dead, and no one has hear of Tekken since it is dead. Only Nintendo has something as big as Link, and Zelda, and Mario, and Donkey Kong. Nintendo makes games for money and for people to have fun, not just to make money like the greedy hogs of companies do without any real care about the actual game itself. Case in point? Look at the prices of all nintendo games. Mario, Kid Icarus Rising, Mario Kart, Ocraina of Time 3DS, etc. they are still full-price because of demand. I don’t see many companies like that these days.

                    1. You’re wrong about Tekken. In the last few years we’ve gotten Tag Tournament 2, Revolution, and Tekken 7 already got announced as well.

        1. No it doesn’t. The Wii U version hasn’t gotten a release date. That’s all. It doesn’t mean they hate Nintendo.

            1. EA just doesn’t want anything to do with Nintendo. I don’t think EA hates Nintendo. Ubisoft on the other hand, those Dbags hate Nintendo and probably themselves. Ubisoft is a junk brand now.

              1. Ubisoft doesn’t hate Nintendo either. They were one of the only ones to even support the system when everyone else didn’t care anymore. They stopped because they weren’t making any money. I don’t blame them.

              1. they’ve publicly made fun of the wii u before. and in the beginning of the wii u,they were working with nintendo on their online service. but the deal broke down shortly after due to differences and then ea later stated that they were leaving nintendo’s gaming consoles. they at least dislike them. ubisoft is the company that left nintendo to follow the money trail.

      1. Tekken is dead as a nail in a coffin. How much can you do with a game that does the exact same shit? It’s like making CoD but with a different lighting and shades of graphics. Same gameplay and same shit. But all other companies mention are gone and have nothing as big as Mario. I’m glad third party doesn’t come to the Wii U. Ever game I see that comes out for the ps4 or XB1 seems wack.

    1. You would listen to Polygon, the same people who said Bayonetta 2 wasn’t that good because it was to sexy and had sex in it (the fucking theme of the game may I add).

  3. What?! Man I’ve been waiting for this game to come to the Wii U since I first saw it on a sizzle reel in a Nintendo Direct back in Feb 2013!!!!!!!!!!! I’m almost over it now at this point.

  4. If it had been exclusive to WiiU it would be a thing, but as it stands, it is simply just another racer. A missed opportunity indeed. This game has a very high percentage chance of failing.

  5. THE WIIU VERSION DIDNT EXIST LIKE I STATED OH SO MANY TIMES BEFORE

THE INDUSTRY IS A JOKE AND THIS GAME WILL BOMB HARD ANOTHER DRIVECLUB

  6. It’s ‘Slightly Mad’ – not ‘Simply Mad’ Studios. Apologize! Right now!

And I’ll probably be picking this up. I don’t understand all the fuss about delays. Personally I’d rather a finished game on release than a broken mess to meet the holiday season *cough* EA *cough* Ubisoft *cough* fuckin Activistion. It’s alright, it’ll be done when it’s done. There’s lots of other games to play right now!

  8. is this game anything like the Cruis’n games from N64? I still have my N64 and 3 games- Cruis’n USA. Cruis’n world and Cruis’n exotic that I have had since the 90’s. I wished with the Wii for a new Cruis’n game and now I wish for the Wii U, Cruis’n Universe? that would be so awesome.
