    1. I just watched some episodes, and I’ve decided that I will dedicate my life to destroying every copy to save DK’s image.

  1. Really? Did Nintendo approve the release of this in DVD? oh boy, if Nintendo is going to scratch the bottom of the barrel, then cant wait for the release of the Super Hornio Brothers on DVD sooner or later.

  2. Oh wow, I hope they’ll bring this to Europe too. The show used to be on German TV too, with actual German dubs, a very long time ago, so chances shouldn’t be all too low, I’d think.

  3. So instead of bringing the old games to the Wii U VC, (which are better than the new games) they bring the show to DVD? Man nintendo can’t get more stupid.

      1. What are nostalgiagoogles? Is that something apart of google?
And I don’t know what’s so funny. It’s truth. Donkey kong Country Returns was even better than Tropical Freeze. The music nor level designs were as good as the original 2 (the third was not good).

Here’s a reminder of how silly this post of yours is now since the Donkey Kong Country games are now on Wii U VC. lol

    1. But see little Donkey of the Jungle, the Kong to my King…you are all about that animal friend, you should have every thing Donkey Kong here…WATCH IT IN A HIGH VOLUME EVERY DAY AND AND SEE HOW IT FEELS LIKE TO SPEAK WITH A SCREEN OF A VOICE DONKEY…..after that, you help with stopping amiibo see?

        1. Shhhh…you too will help me, these amiibo, we cannot let the Nintendo show that the New 3DS is dependent on the amiibo because of its frying power without it….you, me, and the little animal jungle friend, will will stop this…do not cry about Pikachu amiibo, everything shall clear up..

      1. Oh I see it makes perfect sense now! lol I watched the first few episodes before, the animation is quite disturbing! it depends on how much they want for it, $10.00 sure, but beyond that I think i’ll pass.

        1. No, make everybody watch it, but find a way to secretly give them a warning about the disasters of the amiibo on thee New 3DS!! YES, YOU SHALL ALTER PEOPLE’S CHILDHOOD CARTOON WITH HIDDEN AMIIBO MESSAGES. Let’s do that, and make the videos cheap so that even MORE people have access to it…and know the truth about the impact amiibo has on New 3DS…..through disturbing Donkey Kong animations…yes, yes, I know this will make you look bad like Donkey of the jungle my friend, but it’s the only way…

            1. NO. WRONG BAD BAD. Have a filming device over there….TURN ON filming device, and put NEW 3DS onfront of film, and film the 3 months there. Turn ON SYSTEM, put amiibo beside, DO NOT CONNTECT AMIIBO TO NEW 3DS. Film for 3 month straight…see how new 3DS corrupts without amiibo power, and that video will be THE proof. But you will ask, but see, I cannot film for all 3 months! That is why you will invent the solution to alter the file size to make a 3 month long film, the size of a 3 minute video. YOU WILL INVENT. Then, you will post that video, and it will be the proof of how not connecting amiibo for 3 months will ruin the new 3DS without amiibo power, how they need to change the new 3DS to not rely on amiibo power. THEN AMIIBO WILL DOOM AND EVERYONE WILL SEE IT IS NOT VERY IMPORTANT.

                1. NO. We shall use Gaepora Vaepora, that piece of owl. Remember, always say no if he tries to talk to you talk to you, annoying animal. DO NOT LET HIM MARRY YOU, DONKEY MONKEYS AND OWLS GO BAD TOGETHER.

  4. Um…YES! I used to rent this show from my local video store all the time as a kid. And at that time I’ve never even played Donkey Kong.

This series definitely showed that using CGI apes in the 90s would be a huge mistake, so if you didn’t believe the makers of Congo that using CGI for the white apes would have been a horrible idea for that movie, this series will show you that they were not kidding. If I didn’t know how different an ape looks from a humanoid crocodile, I would swear up & down that Donkey Kong & the other primates were lizards, not apes.

  5. Donkey Kong Country had a tv series? I had a VHS tape called “Donkey Kong Country: Legend Of The Crystal Coconut” years ago. But I thought that was just one random movie they decided to make. I never knew it was a series.

  6. I find this cartoon to be silly as fuck and stopped watching it after a couple of episodes. Pokemon was great but got repetitively stale and boring plus Kirby was decent but hardly ever explored anything about Kirby him/herself or whatever gender it is. lol

  7. Ridley, the Angel of Death

Being reminded of this CGI cartoon series in the 90s reminds me of how thankful I am that the movie Congo used guys in ape suits instead of CGI apes like they originally planned. 90s CGI: good for lizards & dinosaurs but very bad for creatures with hair, like apes & monkeys. I’m glad CGI has advanced to the point to where it doesn’t look stupid/silly when a character with hair or a hairy animal is made into a CGI character, unless it’s a B movie that can’t afford to use the high tech CGI of A movies. Of course, it sucks that a lot of movies are using CGI more & you only see costumes & prosthetics in rare occasions.
