Sega and Game Freak have revealed Tembo the Badass Elephant as their new collaboration title. Following speculation and reports of a rather intriguing postcard sent to several online gaming sites last week, the two companies announced the big reveal via an announcement trailer earlier today. Despite initial hope, the side-scrolling action title – which sees players control the elephant Tembo through an array of levels to smash, dash, and destroy everything in its path – will not release on the Wii U.
Platforms supported for Tembo the Badass Elephant include PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam on PC, with all versions targeting a summer 2015 release. When asked about why the game would not be released for Nintendo’s home console, Game Freak’s character designer James Turner said the following below.
When I was writing the presentation documents for this game, I drew a mockup poster, and I put the Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox logos at the bottom. It seemed to fit, and it happened to stick that way. We thought about other hardware during development, but our hands were pretty full with those three platforms!

How the hell is it backstabbing? They’re not a First Party, or even Second Party developer for Nintendo. They’ve always been their own company, and have made games for SEGA before, and even one for Playstation. People should think of Gamefreak developing Pokemon as being similar to how Platinum Games did Bayonetta 2 and Wonderful 101 for just Nintendo, yet still do stuff for just Xbox/Playstation.

Halo 1 and 2 are. After that, Halo has pretty much been an Xbox exclusive. And with The Master Chief Collection, it completely remade both of those Halos which basically makes the PC version irrelevant.

People that want to play Halo but can’t afford a gaming PC will get the Xbox. It is a cheaper alternative. And plus, not everyone wants to play on PC either. There are some people that could easily afford a high end PC but they choose consoles because they can simple plug and play and not worry about upgrades or because their friends play on the console.
And if idiots who talk like that can afford a $500 consoles that bursts itself on fire or $600 PS3 when it launched (like shit), then I’m sure they can afford the same priced PC or less that has more perks the game and gamer needs.
That’s not the it works, man. The games get optimized for consoles. But the performance of games on PC depend on your own hardware. You can’t buy a $500 PC expecting it to do 1080P 60FPS like the PS4 version of a game.

Smash Bros on Wii U is 1080P and Battlefield 4 on Xbox One is 720P but the latter obviously has the better graphics. The debate between resolution is dumb. My cousin bought one recently and it exploded. My neighbor got one from launch and that too combusted into flames. And yes it did sell at $500 for 8 months until they stupidly ditched the Kinect far too late and then pathetically dropped the price AGAIN in just 4 short months later. And there’s still not a single exclusive in sight and Halo doesn’t cut it because in the Windows 10 ad, guess what game I saw playing played on a Windows 10 PC? Halo: Master Chief Collection.
